Prabal Gurung for Target

how was the shoe sizing?
I want to order online the high heel sandals and lace ups. I'm usually 6.5 in high heels sandals and 7 in closed shoes.
thank you!! :heart::heart:

Any reviews on the shoes? I'm feeling them all :D

^same here  those and the b&w skirt simple_elegance ended up buying-- so cute!

The shoe sizing seemed normal enough. I'm an 8.5. I only tried on the "meet the parents" heels, and they fit just fine.

i want the printed sweatshirt but it's not available online

not sure if i'll be able to make it out to the store either since i don't want to drive out in the post-blizzard streets in Boston and potentially lose the parking spot i dug out for myself...

i did order a few things online in a couple sizes when i could.

ordered the first dress that simple elegance posted in small and medium to see which (if either) would fit

ordered the blouse with the yellow lace...

considered some strappy black sandals but i don't need them.

i think that's all i got...

will try to report back to let you all know my thoughts when the stuff gets here ^_^

Just got back from Target on my lunch hour. I have to say I was really disappointed in the collection. The store I went too was not carrying the entire line. I was looking for the floral blazer but they didn’t’ have it. Will see if I can get it online. I thought that the tops were very low quality. I tried on the floral long sleeved tee and I thought it looked cheap. They didn’t have any of the jewelry, and I was interested in seeing it. But the one thing I did want was the flat, black gladiator sandals, which seemed to be the shoes that were selling the best. They only had three pairs left and luckily, had my size. They are fabulous and I think the best item in the collection. I grabbed them up.

did anyone see the black button down long sleeve with the lace overlay on the top?

chrissym, you may change your mind about the sweatshirt after seeing zoe saldana in it. see how it rides/curls up like that? it may be too short waisted.

^I wanted that sweatshirt so much, but they didn't have it in store. By the time I got back online, it was sold out. *le sigh* I think I'm gonna return the floral tee; it's just too thin for my liking. Still undecided about the printed dress.

Yes, they had it at the store I was at. It was made of cotton and looked very ordinary in person; like any other black button-down cotton shirt you would find in a department store.

I saw this in person last night and from a distance I could already tell how poor the material was. I would rather shell out for well-made, durable clothing than pay less for this flimsy, cheap collection (not that I'm surprised — it is Target).

To be fair, there are some REALLY nice pieces, like the skirt I posted. Very sturdy, very cute.

hmmm... i feel like i still want to try it on

but that does deter me a bit...
especially because i have a long torso.
i can't claim to know zoe's body, but if it's riding up on her i'm sure it would ride up on me too. :ermm:

My online order arrived today and I have to say I am very happy with the pieces. I ordered the Long Sleeve Cardigan in Meet the Parents print, the sweatshirt in First Date Print, and the dress with full skirt in Floral Crush.

I also went to the store yesterday to look at what they had and didn't see any of the items I ordered. I looked at the shoes and they look pretty nice for Target.

Overall, I am extremely pleased and the Floral Dress is by FAR the best item. Well made and a great fit! I may have to keep my eye open for the Black/White Lace top which now I regret not ordering.

I am surprised at how well this is selling.

the blue leather jacket for 200$ sold out online and so did that bright yellow/puce pleated skirt. i wouldnt ever wear any of those even if they were free.

Does anyone know how the shorts fit? I'll probably have to buy one on ebay, but no one commented on the size...TIA!

Yeah, I was not thrilled with the prints or colors in person. The shoes were cute but very stiff, and at least on me, the ankle straps didn't fit right (like they should have gone a little higher up). Quite disappointing. I still have several pieces from the Jonathan Saunders for Target collection that came out in 2008; the quality was fine and they've held up nicely. So IMO, yes it's Target, but I don't think the Prabal collection had to be quite this cheap.

I tried on the bright green colored ankle strap in my usual size 8 and they were big, and the strap was off or something. I am glad that I did not buy these. I also tried on the sweatshirt and the fabric was not stiff to me and the inside was soft, but it wasn't me at all. I felt like I was in the 80s.

I will see if anything goes on sale. My Target was well stocked on everything except the jewelry.

I placed an order online and received it last Friday. I ordered the T with the mesh at the top, the blue leather jacket, the dress in first date print, and the colorful skirt with the black lace hem. I'm returning everything. I was fine with the fact that Target quality is often lacking, but this line seemed to be particularly bad.
The dress was the worst (the fabric was tacky and the overall quality was just awful). Many of the Prabal dresses (in all of the prints) seem to have uneven hem lines and awkward fits. The mesh T was pretty, but the mesh was incredibly stiff & scratchy. The skirt was actually kind of cute, but at my petite size, I was swimming in the smallest size. The leather jacket was actually fairly decent. It's a gorgeous color and the quality seems to be a bit better than many of the other pieces. I actually contemplated keeping it, but for $200, I'm just not sure that I'd get much wear out of it (and $200 seems like a lot for a Target piece).

I wore the black and white floral skirt today, and it held up quite nicely. The shoes in the same print I wore on Friday, and they're quite easy to walk in. I wound up returning the ruffled hem dress along with the colorful floral tee. I could've made the dress work, but I really couldn't afford more than one or two items, so I chose the shoes and skirt.
