Prada F/W 08.09 : Linda Evangelista & Patrick Petitjean by Steven Meisel

those shadows that don't match with the poses are quite ridiculous.
And I don't like that too forced pose of Linda, it reminds me of one of those articulable action figures that remain static in every position you leave them. If we combine that with the excessive retouching it's going to have, she's going to look like a real plastic figure. The could have used one actually :ermm: they would have saved the money of hiring a model.

If we're going to use older models, can we keep their purpose and NOT retouch the hell out of them?!? I'm tired of seeing women in their 30s/40s/50s retouched to an inch of a botoxed, skin-grafted 12 year old.

Please... everyone, STOP.

Why not just use Natalia Chabanenko if you're going to get retouched like her?

That's my main problem with this. I find it so hypocritical and annoying. Either make use of her age (there's nothing wrong it, damn it) or cast some random 14 year old :ninja:.

Linda already has a botoxed face, and adding photoshop to it will make her look like she's 20 or something. She looks so frozen and the pose is very forced, I don't like it at all. I hope the rest of the campaign is good.

 I miss Sasha too, but as many people mentioned, this collection is a very mature collection, and I don't think Sasha would be able to work it that well. It was smart to use an older model. But for me, Sasha will always be the Prada girl.

I hate this... I love the collection, but Linda is so annoying and looks so bad IMO...

I like Linda in this. But it's boring, reminds me of Miu Miu campaigns location.. but this is even worse. Like trying to focus on Linda. I wanted something more, I hope there's more..

i didn't know who that guy was til i googled him. he's the same dude who did the S/S H&M ads. flashy...

I like it..of cousre it's nothing special though, and frankly I don't get what everybody expected it to be, it's prada not dior.

I'm amazed at how dull this is. It would have been nice to see Prada make use of Linda Evangelista's maturity and given us ads with some gravitas; let's face it, strong, smart looking women are nowhere to be found on the runways or in edits and campaigns. :(What a waste of an interesting idea; Prada's decision to use a woman in her forties was a shock to me.

Petitjean looks far better without the mangy beard, but here I was expecting Luis Afonso or some other infant newbie at front and centre! Nice to see the house that refined the stick insect/ foetus look to such a fine point step away from all that tired nonsense; Sasha P has never looked anything other than ill in my opinion. But what a shame the ads appear determined to send Linda down that ludicrous airbrushed route of the Sharon Stone Dior ads. Age defying? This is age denying...

I doesn't look so bad, but I've been expecting more interesting set

I never thought I'd say this, being a Linda fan, but the campaign so far is very bad.

I need to see a bigger picutre before i say anything about how her face looks, but i like the pose and the clothes suit her perfectly.
