Prada S/S 2015 Milan - Reminder, No Model Talk in D&C

Oh wow, the closeup are glorious, so much detail in every look  The fabrics are gorgeous, and the busted seams make the collection even more cool looking. This trumps everything I've seen this season by light-years. Finally some true innovation!

So 70s, upholstery fabrics; and ladylike mood...been there, done that, got the Prada t-shirt...and I´ve burned it out of boredom!

Agreed with Prada 90's vibe, I had the same impression. Fantastic collection, feels so essentially Prada plus some of the details are really beautiful.

The shoes in particular were fabulous, and those archival handbags looked quintessential Prada.

Looooooooove love love love!! It's very rare that I like a Prada collection this much.

Wow. A truly fantastic show.

I adored most of the clothes - reminded me a lot of both Prada and Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2005. The fraying seams and hems were beautiful.

I didn't love the socks and the platform shoes - in fact, I really didn't like them at all - but I loved the mules and the slingbacks.

But overall, the presentation was stunning. The purple sand dunes, the casting, and the MUSIC! Breathtaking. Truly!

And she strikes again! Such originality and elegance that no one designer can match.

This is fantastic. It's intricate without being heavy-handed, like so many collections in Milan.

There's always something new and fresh about a prada collection. She seems to capture a kind of newness even though the clothes could go under "vintage". I like the coats, look really wearable and comfortable. I'm always intrigued by the set as well

After looking at the HQs, I am even more blown away. This collection is Miuccia's best work in recent years. Even beyond the amazing cuts, silhouettes and beautiful deconstruction, there was something very emotional about the clothes and this show. I was very moved.

no playing with the decade theme makes it pure, the whole collection slid in and slid out, don't even realize it finished. truly well done

Yeah it's really good.
The mix of textures and the palette and the patterns and the vibes.
Love the use of leather, as with Gucci.
I don't understand what's with all the wintery S/S collections though.

The 70s are not the reference i'm crazy about, but the minimalist 90s definitely is. there is a certain honesty and rawness about that era, which i really miss in today's overproduced (pop) culture.
i'm taking the bait and love the deconstructed baroque, perhaps more the idea of it than Miuccias presentation..
Some of the simpler pieces are fantastic, where the seams and raw edges stand as a decoration on its own!
