I honestly love all of her collections. Interestingly, a few years back, I only appreciated Miuccia's more 'normal' collection of the early 2000's and I did not understand her more quirky, strange aesthetic of her more recent collections.
But as of late, I've fallen SO in love with Miuccia's 'weird' collections. Oh, I Just love all of her collections, really.
Fall/ Winter 2004 is so beautiful and I love those toile de jouy prints.
Spring/ Summer 2005 is like the epitome of a summer collection...I adore the rasta feeling, the peacock feathers, those stunning hats...I loved all of it.
Fall/ Winter 2005 was so dark and intellectual.
Spring/ Summer 2006 was so beautiful and delicate, and I loved all the luggage and bubble gum pink accessories.
Fall/ Winter 2006 was perfect, perfect, perfect.
Spring/ Summer 2007 was so chic, with the leather fringe, jewel tones, and I think the turbans were so wonderful.
Fall/ Winter 2007 was so strange, yet so appealing. The textiles were breataking.
Spring/ Summer 2008, while probably my least favorite of the bunch, it still growing on me. I like the James Jean printed pieces a lot.
Fall/ Winter 2008 was so great in that it made lace look menacing and frigthening...and those ruffled shoes!
Spring/ Sumemr 2009 was so incredibly sexy and raunchy...I loved the crumpled fabric and exposed bras and the the sweaty models, the fish on the runway, the Elvis soundtrack...so perfect.
And now Fall/ Winter 2009 is just as wonderful. I love the 1940's English country living mood, mixed with cavewomen, 1920's flappers and gladiators...this collection feels so contemporary and and 'right now.'
So...I don't really think I could pick a favorite!
