^^No, I may email them as well. That's absolutely shameful and disrespectful of them.

I can't believe that woman's first reaction was to call an Olsen. Call 911! That is a very enabler thing to do...keep things quiet like that.

The radio morning show was talking about this morning...celebs and their people are so used to keeping things hushed up with private security and doctors that they never get help. Lindsay Lohan was said to have been revived a number of times by people like that instead of seeking real help until she was arrested twice...

the better question is why didn't Mary-Kate call 911? i don't think you can lay the total blame on the masseuse.

I just can't get over how low and disgusting the media truly is.
It's hard to believe there are actually people behind those cameras, absolutely no compassion.

i'm so sad over this,i mean i don't really feel like posting in the other threads, you know:(..fashion just seems really unimportant right now..

This was just posted on news.com.au -

MICHELLE Williams, the mother of Heath Ledger's only daughter Matilda, is returning to New York, where family and friends are waiting to help her.

Special friends include Jake Gyllenhaal, Ledger's co-star in Brokeback Mountain and Matilda's godfather, who will now have the responsibility of sharing the toddler's upbringing.

Williams, 27, who fell in love with Heath Ledger on the same movie set but split from him last year, had been filming in Sweden but is jetting back to New York with two-year-old Matilda.

Police are already guarding her home in Brooklyn where she previously lived with Ledger.

Williams' mother and her Dawson's Creek co-star Busy Phillips have already arrived in New York to comfort Williams, who yesterday learned of Ledger's death.

Williams was in Trollhattan, Sweden, where the 27-year-old actress had been shooting scenes for the upcoming film Mammoth, said Martin Stromberg, a spokesman for film production company Memfis Film.

"She received the news at her hotel late last night," Stromberg said.

Both William's mother, Carla, and Phillips looked visibly upset as they got out of a limousine and walked into the house, Splash said.

Thank god the police are using their brains because you just know her house is going to be crawling with paps.

Of COURSE Ambien is evil. Meds are evil. They should be an extreme measure but people don't use them that way.

Please, don't take that Ambien stuff any further - that's just disinformation spread by movie reps. Taken in appropriate amounts Ambien is nothing. It's a convenient excuse for everyone's problems, that's what it is. Eminem was in rehab for it - I mean, if you've taken it you know it's simply ludicrous. It just sounds so much better than *that something else*.

Addiction is a disease. Nothing more, nothing less. People who succumb to it are not bad people - sometimes quite the reverse - they were unfortunate, both genetically and circumstantially. That said, we don't know what killed him, but Ambien is unlikely, because I truly don't think he killed himself (which is the only way Ambien is likely to be the primary cause 10X prescribed amounts).

that is the better question.
I can see why the masseuse rang Olsen in a way, but Mary-Kate should have told her to call 911 straight away, or done so herself.
On one hand, celebs do this, due to all the media and crazy paps we are all talking about on this thread...because say that nothing is wrong and the celeb has just taken some drugs or a sleeping pill and it's nothing..then the media will make a circus out of it and of his/her public image.. and this is what these people's lives are built on, so that's why they are in their own little world.. it's scary , like stuff we've never known. ..things are very different for them..
I just hate to think of Heath in this world, in this way..why was he renting an apartment off Mary Kate, if he was unhappy in NY he should have come back to Australia, but he was there because of his daughter..
i just want to think of him like we first saw him in Two Hands and Ten things i hate about you, that happy Aussie guy with a big smile and an open heart.
i hate what Hollywood does to people...it ruins them. It's just not fair on Heath and his family for them to have to go through this.

It was already clarified he was in his own apartment and I don't think it's fair to be pointing fingers. We weren't there.

Yes, he was in his own apartment, but the lady who found him knew the Olsen's bodyguard or something and called him first supposedly.

He wasnt renting an apartment from MK. I think she had an apartment in the same building.

Sundance audience reacts to Heath Ledger's passing

Tuesday evening's screening of August was marred during the post-show Q&A when an I-can-only-assume-journalist sitting behind me decided to use the second question to ask star Josh Hartnett for his reaction to the death of Heath Ledger. To its credit, the audience responded immediately with boos, jeers, and shouts of "COME ON," and a festival volunteer approached the man, trying to get him to drop the subject. But he persisted, yelling over the crowd until Hartnett had no choice but to take the microphone and quietly call Ledger's death a great loss to the movie industry. The actor then continued the rest of the Q&A — which included at least one cry of "You were fantastic!" from the crowd — with an impressive level of professionalism, considering.

Apparently it was this guy -

USA Today's Anthony Breznican cops to being the a-hole who asked the question. Here's what he had to say: "I tried to tackle the elephant in the room by asking Josh Hartnett at a post-screening Q&A if he knew Ledger or had any thoughts or remembrances. He initially shook his head, then said simply that it was a tragedy for the whole industry... Also, the audience booed the question. (I blog about when interviews go well, so I may as well cop to things when they go badly.) I can respect the crowd's feeling. There's a lot of tacky celebrity coverage out there, and folks here are especially sensitive to it (though my intentions were not that.) Sundance is a place where the focus is refreshingly on stories and the people who tell them. The sad thing for movie fans is that Ledger won't be among them any more."

------------

What a d*ckhead to ask that and his excuse is just lame.

I couldn't agree more... I've only posted in a couple of threads since Heath's death. :( Last night I was crying my eyes out and I called my boyfriend (he lives across town and usually I sleep with him but I had to get up early this morning). He was like "What's wrong? Why are you crying so much?", and I kept saying "Heath". He thought I was crazy or something, but I really loved him as an actor! Plus he reminds me so much of my boyfriend and it just made me think of what it'd be like to lose him. I'm just a very sensitive person I guess...

I'm confused though. Wasn't it already said that it was a bodyguard of Mary Kate that was called, not Mary Kate? And it's because he's an EMT? Why would she be called? Isn't she at Sundance?

Aww...:flower: He really touched a LOT of people. So many are truly upset about this; I myself am surprised I've been so affected... he just seemed so decent and friendly, and of course he was a very brave and talented actor as well. This probably sounds really annoying eh.:blush:

Side note: I don't see how Mary Kate shares any blame (if there's blame to be had that is); she was on the opposite coast. She couldn't possibly assess how serious a condition he was in.

Smiths-Asleep

Sing me to sleep
Sing me to sleep
Im tired and i
I want to go to bed

Sing me to sleep
Sing me to sleep
And then leave me alone
Dont try to wake me in the morning
cause I will be gone
Dont feel bad for me
I want you to know
Deep in the cell of my heart
I will feel so glad to go

Sing me to sleep
Sing me to sleep
I dont want to wake up
On my own anymore

Sing to me
Sing to me
I dont want to wake up
On my own anymore

Dont feel bad for me
I want you to know
Deep in the cell of my heart
I really want to go

There is another world
There is a better world
Well, there must be
Well, there must be
Well, there must be
Well, there must be
Well ...

Bye bye
Bye bye

no, it was actually Mary Kate who was called. I don't know why, it' is strange a Masseuse would call her, she must have known Mary kate and Heath were good friends..or something like that

"Wolozin arrived at the apartment about 2.45pm.
She called his mobile phone at 3pm when he did not come out of the bedroom, but got no answer.
The report said she then went into the bedroom and saw him lying in bed. She took a massage table out of the closet and began to set it up near his bed.
She then went over to him and shook him, but got no response.
She then used a speed-dial button on his mobile to call Olsen in California to seek her guidance, knowing Olsen was a friend.
The police said Solomon, Wolozin, and the three private security guards summoned by Olsen were cooperating with the investigation.
The police said no illegal drugs were found in the apartment and that there were no obvious signs of suicide."
