I have live colour red in my hair but I want to change it to a nice n easy one thats a bit gingery and lighter, but would I need to lighten it first? How? I thought I could just bleach it then dye it but I looked at the ncie n easy pack and it said not to use obn bleached hair. What would happen if I did?

it could be a warning for 2 things:
1) not to bleach your hair and then put their dye on right away as it could cause damage and breakage.
2) if you're hair is bleach blond it might make the dye look really orange or unnaturally red, which a lot of people don't want.

If you decide to bleach it just make sure to tone it and then maybe give it a day or two and some deep conditioner before you dye it the red you want. Or you could just dye it a few shades lighter every time until you get to the shade you want.
Another option is if you have the money, go to a salon and have them lighten your hair just a few shades for you.

I've done it! I have gone 'auburn' red (like MK Olsen) from platinum blonde!! And here is the result, my hairdresser is amazing!! I just bascially took in a picture of MK when she had auburn hair and she mixed up the colour for me. She had to do something to my hair (i forgot what it is called) so my hair would take to it properly because of the bleach and didn't come out too 'bright':

I know that I love red hair.
I had for about two years dark red hair but I was still dreaming about lighter shade. I couldn´t resist it and after higlinting half of my hair I finally got it. I got a lot of compliments on my hair colour.

okay, so i was blonde a couple of hours ago and i bough a hair dye that aid "bronze blonde" and the hairdresser dyed my hair, and i came out violet red. i'm have an important interview in a couple of days and i need to get out of this color. will anything work??? i am sooooo sad already

I went to my hairsalon Saturday..it had literally been ages since my last cut.. and I had not given any thought to what I wanted done.. so on a whim I told them to do whatever they wanted..
I'm a strawberryblonde now a la Nicole Kidman.. I'm not in love with it but it's workable.. and since it's a toner it'll go back to my own color eventually..
