Rick Owens F/W 10.11 Paris

hahaha... seriosuly. rick owens looks more like gareth pugh this season, and gareth pugh looks more like rick owens. what's going on?!?!

hasn't rick though done this sort of graphic work before though...like when he was still in L.A.?

I'm really liking some of the newer ones posted. Love some of the white pieces

I don't like the stuff where it looks like he just took his thick blankets and pillows and draped them around the body. But I really love the tights, and the skirt is kinda cool!

It's the 1st time since I am not instantly falling in love. I need to digest it, i think it's a grower this time. I'm loving the hardwear pieces and the layered minis. It's looking more savage this season too. Besides, Rick's shows have always been very apocalyptic, very layered and darkly poectic, so to say it's trading places with Gareth Pugh's is a lil uncalled for.

I don't see much Gareth in this either... I think this is what Rick Owens does. And I seem to be alone in this but the "blankets" are my favourite part so far, I've always liked the idea of a nomad carrying around your necessities with you. It's probably reaaally warm too :)

Hmmm...he seems to have picked up a few of these important trends - the asymmetrical lengths, the graphical paillettes, the leather-knit mix, the alien-avatar-strange-creature vibe - these are gorgeously materialized in a few pieces, but are head and shoulders above the trendier designers. The rest do not seem coherent. There is much to love here, but I nonetheless prefer that he sets directions with his trademark poetic, minimal savagery rather than follow them.

Now, this is really good! :D

Definitely one of my favourites, so far.

I normally quite like Rick's stuff, but don't love it; but this is great!

This is such an interesting collection. The graphic print works for me.

im not a fan of the duvet-like dresses. but, I love the jackets.

interesting structure to it or lack there of. the skirts and the down coats have just the right amount of broodiness.

I love it.... those forms are really Rick... and I quite like some pieces are quite like my blankets that kind of cozy... and also the hooked up triangles coat.... thats really stunning and amazing.. :woot::woot:

to say it's trading places with Gareth Pugh's is a lil uncalled for.
and a sign of someone who isn't too familiar with Rick's archives. :winkiss:

I like it... feels raw and brooding. beautiful lemur ladies

^exactly my point, inaya :ninja: ;) he was doing this kind of of stuff when he was in L.A. so to say this is GP seems a bit closed-minded. and it's not as if GP created geometrics, hoods and cassock-shapes.

i like this but it must grow on me,as kiddo said, before it bowls me over. i can't wait to see it in terms of separate pieces because that's usually when i fall head-over-heels in love with rick's clothes.

I want to like this, but I truly dislike everything about it. and hate to say this but it reminds me too of Gareth, not really in the shapes or anything visual, more the harshness of it, the fact that it almost, almost looks soulless.. I know it'll probably be impressive in closeups and rl, but I guess there wasn't a numbered dose here, it feels like such an overdose of everything.. and then the puffiness, goddamnit.
