Rick Owens F/W 10.11 Paris

I want to like this, but I truly dislike everything about it. and hate to say this but it reminds me too of Gareth, not really in the shapes or anything visual, more the harshness of it, the fact that it almost, almost looks soulless.. I know it'll probably be impressive in closeups and rl, but I guess there wasn't a numbered dose here, it feels like such an overdose of everything.. and then the puffiness, goddamnit.
I think that the harshness might be what I like about this. It's much more aggressive than I've come to expect from him, and I find it oddly refreshing in a way...like a shot in the arm in case anyone's not paying attention. The elements are definitely amplified, the texture is bigger, the structure is more severe, the styling is tougher.

There's something almost bombastic about it. I can definitely see why people wouldn't like that, but it works for me.

My first impression is that I am not enjoying the tights & gloves, that said I am sure they will grow on me.
I love the skirts with the pleated adhere front.

I agree - hate those tights! the whole collection would look better without them. Too distracting and not very flattering.

The rest of it is growing on me already though.

i m liking a lot of the tops shown, total opposit for the bottoms, there s something missing

The make-up is so distracting, and the clothes make the models seem 20+ pounds heavier.

Not fan of the tights either...but I love those "soft" coats, what is the material called in english?

I have old byblos coat in the same material I've kept stored for years but I guess I'll start to wear it NOW :D
