these are my prada booooots i think they are riding boots? im not too sure.. i got them for $250 australian dollars! but thats exactly what they are like except they are a darker more chocolately brown than what it appears to be in the picture. i love them so much! i like how i guess theyre sort of classic type of boot, that wont go out of fashion. i remember they also came in black, but the black made the boots look a little more gumboot like, so brown looked better imo.

Ohh gosh I wanted those SO badly!!! But when I decided to buy theme, they were gone  ..I think they are very classic and timeless, so beautiful!

I usually like boots with some sort of heel on ladies. Riding Boots just don't do justice that much. Having said this, these boots can be quite nice only as long as ladies remember NOT to tuck jeans into them. Since I've been in love with seeing the pairing of gaucho pants with boots (didn't understand it at first), I've grown accustomed to ladies taking cropped pants and gaucho pants and wearing boots with them. This is perhaps a chic boot for those who want to look great without having to strut around in well-defined heels. I know they are more like motorcycle boots, but they are a bit more like boots horse jockeys would wear. Most of you know I'm overly critical of tucking boots into pants unless for functional use (like treading through flood waters or walking on or through treacherous surface conditions (like mud or snow)). These riding boots are best for jockeying and wearing jockey pants. NOT for looking "cute" at the mall. I have to imagine these boots being very comfortable to walk in since they're mostly flat to low-heeled.

Think these boots could catch on for Fall/Winter?

I'm very excited because I have been searching for a good riding boot for a while. We're getting one in for fall at Fornarina, they are just beautiful, I cant wait to get mine. I can post a picture when the look book is released.

I usually like shoes and sandals and boots with a nicely-defined heel. Most of the boots that I've seen in this thread could end up being the ballet flats of boots. I don't know how many go-go dancers we may have on thefashionspot, but these boots (especially from dgie in Post #142) are kind of like go-go boots. Traditional go-go boots are more of boots that have a very low heel and a slick appearance overall. Mi amiga desde Peru (My friend from Peru) has some light pink boots kind of like the go-go boot style. Perhaps even some stylish riding boots. If these boots seem truly comfortable, it's possible these could be the next trendy boot after ladies ruined their look tucking jeans into boots when it's not severely cold or walking through treacherous conditions. I still like the trend of gaucho pants and cropped pants with boots. I wonder if these low-heeled (and even flat-heeled) boots will still remain stylish with cropped pants including skirts and dresses.

Any chance these may be the next trendy boot since the love-em-or-hate-em Uggs?

i never knew they were called riding boots, to me they have always been just boots :S

I started wearing my mom's old riding boots two years ago and they look AMAZING .
The only problem with 'real' riding boots is that the soles are incredibly slippery so when there's lots of snow outside you can't really wear them unless you want to fall all the time.

There is a boot company in the UK called Duo Boots that you custom order your foot and calf size. The have two pair I am eyeing, but with the exchange rate and shipping to the US, only one pair will happen for me. Still don't know which pair!

It's a shame because I love the look of riding boots but me being only 5'2.. they just look odd.

^ Oh I love those! Riding boots are terribly chic and simple. Thats why I love them so!

yeah and they are really hard to take off your feet cause they are so tight..
other than that, they look cute.

Jenner8675309, I've been eyeing the DUO boots as well. Did you get them? If so, how did they work out for you?! If anyone else knows about the DUO boots let me know too!!

I'm on a hunt for a classic, black/chocolate brown, leather riding boots. The more simple the better. Yesterday I saw a really nice pair, almost perfect pair (don't know for sure because I didn't try them on). But then I saw the label. Guess fall/winter collection. :ermm: I don't like Guess (maybe they're Guess by Marciano which is even worse ) and it's hard for me to pay 300€ for a brand I dislike and think it's definitely not worth the price tag. This probably sounds snobbish to you. :ninja: Of course I plan to try them on first, maybe they won't look half that good. I do think they're well made though, but I could be wrong.
I'll wait till fall anyway, when fall/winter collections appear in stores.
