Thank you! I am unsure how I feel about the whole show, still. One commenter wrote under the youtube video that "if your new in the industry you need to do something like this but your workmanship to your craft must be impeccable" - and I think that's very true, and yet, still on a very fine line between exploitative/gratuitous and art holding a mirror to society. I guess I need to know his life's work better to know for sure.

I'm pretty sure Highland r*pe's starting point was his own r*pe by his brother in law. That story about the actual Highland Rapes is very interesting but why would he be talking about that god awful thing if he didn't have a point a connexion to it ? A lot of his work boiled down to a story about him told in a convoluted and sometimes contrived way. You just have to move past the metaphors and the analogies to get it.
