RIP Alexander McQueen CBE : 1969 - 2010

I am so sad, it's not possible, the worst news ever ..

Oh No!

I can't say I know much about him as a person but he was in my opinion the most talented designer. Fashion won't be the same without L'enfant terrible.
RIP

A friend from Lanvin literally just called us to see had we heard the news, it's just so sad we didn't believe it at first. What an amazing fierce talent, like Carine Roitfeld says fashion needs it's bad boys and McQueen was it :(

RIP

The 40-year-old was discovered at his property in Green Street, in London's West End.
He is believed to have become depressed following the death of his mum Joyce, a week ago.
McQueen, who won British fashion designer four times between 1996 and 2003, had posted a string of messages on Twitter offering an insight into his state of mind.
The last message on his account was: "im here with my girl annie tinkerbell wishing kerry the slag, happy birthday in NY, your 40 now girl time to slow it down we think."
The unusual tweets began when his mother passed away.
On February 3 he wrote: "i'm letting my followers know the my mother passed away yesterday if it she had not me nor would you RIP mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
This was completed seconds later with "but life must go on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Then four days later over two tweets he wrote: "sunday evening been a f*****g awful week but my friends have been great but now i have to some how pull myself together and finish with the HELLS ANGLES & PROLIFIC DEAMONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Police said his death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokeswoman for Mr McQueen said: "Mr McQueen was found dead this morning at his home. We're devastated and I hope you understand that out of respect to his family and his colleagues we're not going to be making any further statement."

What a loss...There is no designer like Alexander!

Hope you´re in a good place, Alexander:heart:

My world just stopped for a while when I read the news. I just can't believe it!

I have no words...

I'm in shock over this terrible loss. McQueen was a true and rare genius who gave us poetry, fantasy and amazing collections. He will be missed.

I really wish it was untrue. It's really sad whan such a talented person as him doesn't exist anymore. Now the fashion world lost a gem...

R.I.P McQueen.

Such a tragic loss to the fashion world...
he was one of my favorite designers. I still can't believe it :(
He was so talented.

May you rest in peace.

You know, I know it's weird to be so greatly affected by the deaths of those you don't know, but with McQueen I feel we were able to get to know a truly great mind through his designs. I'm in shock, I can't believe this because I don't want to. This is so painful, especially since it's just 3 years after Isabella Blow's suicide.

McQueen has affected not only how I see the fashion industry, but also the arts as a whole.

He is, and will always be one of my favorite designers.

May he and Isabella rest in peace together.
