RIP Alexander McQueen CBE : 1969 - 2010

Oh nooo, this cannot be happening...
It's terribly sad.
He had a unique creative vision of fashion, this is an irremediable loss.

Rest in peace genius.

Very sad news!

I stated in the Rumour thread that i wasn't his biggest fan, but i can't deny the major effect he had on the fashion world and how many really loved his work.

He has now joined the legends like Gianni and YSL. I wonder where the brand will go from here and what's going to happen with the latest collection of his?

There's still a part of me that is waiting for a statement by McQueen himself saying that he is still alive. This is just too shocking.

still in a state of shock and melancholy. I can't believe it. he was one of my favorite designers. he brought wit and whimsy w/ a dash of wearable eccentricity (except those armadillo shoes) into high fashion. Truly a great loss. fashion won't be the same again... RIP AMCQ you shall be missed

One of my friends on Facebook typed in "RIP Alexander McQueen" when I logged on a few minutes ago. I knew on here that I complimented some open-toe boots of his, but hated the skull design on the zipper label. I said "Absolute Nay" to a scarf that had those skull designs on it. But you know what? Alexander McQueen is someone with his own style and his own way of expressing things. For one thing (just to show how much I know about fashion), I didn't know he was 40. This is truly terrible that he's gone, though I've never been a real fan of his work. I send my deepest thoughts and prayers to his family and friends and all whom have known and loved him.

I have created a group at facebook in his loving memory; ´´In loving memory of Alexander Mcqueen´´

Make sure to join it:heart:

....
I still can´t believe he´s gone.
