Yeah. There's alot of expectations from celebrities in Korea. Sometimes they even have girls get muscles surgically removed from their calves so they can look more western. It's all f*cked up really.

I just hope Daul's death will open the eyes of society.

I can't believe this. Literally can't believe it. It just feels like she was putting her feelings out there every day - on her blog, in her interviews. And none of us could see the signs, could do anything about it. It's the tragedy of our era that we can watch a person's deterioration through as impersonal mediums as the net, and are powerless to help.

I think the best any of us can do now is just to remember her for the beautiful person she was - and I'm obviously not just referring to her looks. She was a rare force in the modeling industry - a highly intelligent, sensitive and poetic soul. It is a sad fact that those most gifted and talented in this world are often those most hurt by it. I hope that the fashion industry get together and do something to honour her. She deserves to be remembered.

My thoughts go out to her loved ones. I hope she has reached a kinder world.

So awful. She was the only model I ever really rooted for and respected as a human being and not just a professional pretty face. I met her once briefly in passing and now am so thankful I did. I just don't know, I've been trying to hold back tears all day.

Maybe this can be a reminder to rise more awareness at TFS also. I think even despite our best efforts, a lot of posters unintentionally overlook the fact models are normal people. Both new faces and topmodels are being judged by their pictures as if they're on america's next topmodel. A lot of positive remarks too, but still such judgement. It's even 'cute' when a model is talking on her phone somewhere backstage, sorting her business? It has gotten quite crazy.... Including the whole internet hype around young, new models.... I don't know... Supporting Cast = fashion's next topmodel.
