I can't believe this. Literally can't believe it. It just feels like she was putting her feelings out there every day - on her blog, in her interviews. And none of us could see the signs, could do anything about it. It's the tragedy of our era that we can watch a person's deterioration through as impersonal mediums as the net, and are powerless to help.
I think the best any of us can do now is just to remember her for the beautiful person she was - and I'm obviously not just referring to her looks. She was a rare force in the modeling industry - a highly intelligent, sensitive and poetic soul. It is a sad fact that those most gifted and talented in this world are often those most hurt by it. I hope that the fashion industry get together and do something to honour her. She deserves to be remembered.
My thoughts go out to her loved ones. I hope she has reached a kinder world.
