me too, had to re-read the name of the user posting it (aracic, so.. legit/not a troll). I was not a fan of his work/public personality either but it goes without saying that he accomplished a lot for his age and it's sad that he did try several treatments to overcome this.. must be incredibly frustrating and devastating to reach one of the hardest places in terms of profession but not being able to get your body to.. cooperate. RIP.I couldn’t actually believe I was reading that correctly. I was not a fan of his work and I find this terribly sad for his wife and children.

He was never my favorite designer and I have even talked so much sh*t about his work but really what a loss! He had such a huge cultural impact and represented so much more. And this is even a bigger loss for the black community. Honestly, he kinda looked unwell. He had lost weight and looked like he aged a lot in such a short period. He even missed his show due to an undisclosed medical reason if I remember it correctly.I am shocked because he did not look sick or unwell. It reminds me of when Chadwick Boseman kept his diagnosis private. I am sorry he suffered with cancer and tried to survive while working.
RIP Virgil and sending love to his family and close ones.
