S/S 2007 Ad Campaigns (please read post #1 before posting)

Cat Power for Chanel Jewelry? So we've got musician for jewelry, another actor for eyewear, and Jessica Miller for beauty (if that repeats)...how many Chanel campaigns are there? That leaves handbags or the mainline for Raquel's campain. It'll be so strange not to see Daria if she's not repeating.

I'm not sure if Irina will get the Chanel campaign some day, but she has modelled the Cruise collection (press only) and now the image on the website.

Agreed, Agreed, Agreed! That campiagn made me learn to like Daria and I have a total girl crush on Du... that was just one of the best campaigns of the last few years. :crush:

Yes, definitely! ^_^ Daria only walked Chanel and Roberto Cavalli too...so it seems very likely. :woot:

I think this is for the Spring 2007 camapaign. From hintmag.com:

Glamazonian Estonian Anett Griffel has to be loving life after racking up runway miles for Diane von Furstenberg, DKNY, Lacoste, Doo.Ri and Vivienne Tam. The sizzling Scorpio has just wrapped up a Benetton campaign with David Sims and will soon steam up the pages of Italian Elle. Not bad for being scouted only months ago at a mall in Estonia.

I always thought Hilary Rhoda for Chanel would be interesting. She might be too American looking for the brand though.

Karl uses a lot of models that are biracial/multicultural, and that is a very American look to me, and I think Daria looks American... I agree though, Hilary would wear it well. :flower:

Elettra Rosselini is in the ads of Samsonite with her mother.
Saw it today inside the Nov issue of Italian Amica.

^yeah she is but is that fw06 or are they not restricted by seasons? cos i think someone said ss07 ads haven't been shot yet...

I think Caroline T for Valentino would be amazing, I hope that one actually turns out to be true.

to me daria is obviously european. she looks like some gypsy fantasy. his multicultural choices refelect the globalization of cultures/nations, and may be an effort to reach diverse markets vs. look american. america reaklly isn't that diverse in comparison to france... and infact france is known for exotic blends of middle-easterners, africans, a significant asian population, not to mention eastern euopeans, etc.
the main resason why i think he wouldn't used hilary is there is no emtion in her face. she is a statue. aall the other chanel girls could really pose interstingly. i am rooting for irina.-

You know, I take back what I said about Hilary Rhoda. I think Karl could use her, because he did use Angela Lindvall for a few seasons and she's pretty All-American looking as well.

But I don't like the idea of Irina. I think she's too edgy for the brand.

A bit different to what we've been discussing here but still SS07 i think

Coty Prestige-owned Kenneth Cole Fragrances brand is presenting a new men’s fragrance, RSVP. Coinciding with the launch, the company has announced that US rock singer Jon Bon Jovi will appear in the advertising campaign for the fragrance. According to the company, the fragrance is part of a collaboration between Kenneth Cole and US rock singer and actor Jon Bon Jovi to raise awareness about homeless issues. The print and TV advertising campaign, which breaks in January, was shot by Peter Lindbergh.

RSVP debuts in November in Kenneth Cole retail stores and Saks Fifth Avenue department stores in the US, followed by a nationwide launch in January and worldwide rollout in February.

Demi Moore joins Helena Rubinstein
L’Oréal Luxury Products Division’s Helena Rubinstein skincare and makeup brand has signed American actress Demi Moore to be the spokesperson for all of its products in a long-term agreement. Moore, who is the first actress to represent Helena Rubinstein faces, is currently in the UK shooting ads and will appear in a print campaign in 2007, according to a brand spokesperson.

Am I the only one......that gets a bit sad everytime a campaign goes to a celebrity? I really do think campaigns are a model's domain. ^_^

^nope you're not the only one. it's sad that they're invading model territory. unless it's a super duper really fabulously done campaign, campaigns should be left to models imo

Thank you. I've always thought of it as Movies and TV belong to Actors/Actresses. Covers. Editorials. Ads belong to Models. But models try acting too....but very few suceed while celebs take quite a decent chunk of campaigns every season.

No, you are not alone. I think most people agree that models belong on the covers, editorials, and campaigns. ^_^
