S/S 2007 Ad Campaigns (please read post #1 before posting)

please dontella, you designed a nice collection, do something good with that! and please not the same as last time...

someone on alana zimmer thread just said what alana is for chanel allure ad( not confirmed info just assumption (expectation))

Regarding the Louis Vuitton ad with Gemma Ward:woot: - I have to say that it must be recent because Gemma's body shape has change significantly throughout the last two years. Nowadays, she is less willowy and more toned and woman-like; the latter description more easily applied to her appearance in the Louis Vuitton ad. Any Gemma fans, care to share their opinions? Maybe I AM wrong?:ninja: :innocent:

^It is recent ;) It's from the latest issue of Numero! :D

But I definitely agree with you about Gemma's body type :flower:

i hope the versace campagin will be nice....the collection is very strong and i dont want the campaign to mess it up.

According to Lee on fashist, Dara will not be in the Versace ads

i'm not surprised at all. i would have been surprised if daria was in it.
c'mon, let's take it as a fact that we won't see daria for a while. has any of you realised that she's completely disappeared from the fashion world since more than six months, apart 2 shows at spring 2007 - for karl and for cavalli, maybe as a part of the contract for the previous campaign?

^ We don't know exactly, though, do we? The piece from wwd really just said that the ads "will feature many of the same supermodels as the fall ones" and Lee posted that Carmen's in it as well.

I would pee myself if Gertrud got Dolce! :woot: But I think the evidence points towards Georgia. Gertrud isn't 16 and Elite didn't specify what she shot for Dolce & Gabbana (lookbook maybe?), whereas that photographer said Georgia shot the campaign. :/

^ She's born in 1991 (I know this for sure). Although I guess Elite might say something else. But I still think it's Georgia. :)

Yeah, I don't think anything's 100% sure 'til we see it. But I actually feel this one's fairly certain, since the source is a credible photographer who knows Georgia.

no model info
but i'd thought i'd post anyway

from WWD:

TRADING STEVENS: Dolce & Gabbana is the latest fashion house to change photographers for its spring advertising, having ditched Steven Meisel, with whom it has worked for some time, for Steven Klein. Sources said Meisel had already shot a version of the campaign when the Italian designers rang up Klein.

^^^Oh my god! I don't know whether to be happy or angry! Steven Meisel is a genius in my opinion! The man practically 'discovered' Snejana - he deserves a medal for that!!!!hahaha

Do you think Dolce will use both campaigns and sort of alternate between the two? Or do you think they will choose one over the other?

ps. what campaigns has Steven Klein done in the past?

^They already chose by calling Klein. Meisel's out. It's a mean business. :ninja: And now I'll always wonder who was in Meisel's campaign...

Steven Klein's done Alberta Ferretti the last few seasons. Dsquared, Alexander McQueen, various perfume ads, Akris, Calvin Klein underwear... And he's shot several D&G campaigns (including the current one), so the switch is not a complete surprise.
