S/S 2007 Ad Campaigns (please read post #1 before posting)

^They already chose by calling Klein. Meisel's out. It's a mean business. :ninja: And now I'll always wonder who was in Meisel's campaign...

Steven Klein's done Alberta Ferretti the last few seasons. Dsquared, Alexander McQueen, various perfume ads, Akris, Calvin Klein underwear... And he's shot several D&G campaigns (including the current one), so the switch is not a complete surprise.

thanks for the info!:flower: But 2 things I don't get:

- Who chooses the models, campaign ideas etc? Is it the designers or is it the PR team?

and

- If Miesel is out of the picture, doesn't that mean the model line up will remain, but the photographer/concept change?

If the model line-up does change, then maybe the Georgia rumours are true!:innocent: :woot:

is baad the form out Meisel but dolce need a change of style and photograpger in the campaings now i dont know Steven klein are the best option the works are in D&G are very repetitives and continue with the style of Testino in d&g 2000/2003 i think no are much change.

i made a new thread with gemma's vuitton ads, since they aren't for s/s...

very surprising that dolce would change photographers after already shooting the ads...
it's not cheap to do these types of shoots over again...

meisel's wasnt edgy enough for dolce as far as i have been told
klein's reshoot was a lot more interesting apparently

what a smack in the mouth!

Hanne-Gaby Odiele shot Topshop again (was mentioned by Anton Libaers in Hanne's thread a couple of weeks ago)

^ Speaking of which... bumping this since it was never added to the list.

Some smaller news:

Kasia Struss for Patrizia Pepe. Source: Avant Models (posted by Nelly Cat in her thread).

Laura Butterfield for Topshop. Source: her myspace (yes, it's her real one).

This season is quite entertaining so far, I must say. The Dolce campaign better be good after all the drama (and money spent)!

I was going through the thread yesterday because I was trying to see if a campaign I had heard info on had been posted, and I noticed that there are a few missing from the list, so I've compiled a list of the ones missing and am going to forward it on to iluvjeisa :)

Heather Marks will be in the Lacoste campaign (according to hispeedsoul on fashist)

I was terrified by Coco at first, but then one day I just really fell for her. I wouldn't say that's edgy, but there's something about her energy that's captured in print and is really interesting to look at. She seems like such a sweet girl, too, like she's genuinely excited to be doing what she's doing. And that shows in her work, too.

i agree. with everyone talking about her (negatively) she is skyrocketing to the top of the modelling world. if u hate her so much, it would do you no good if you keep on talking about her. it will just create more buzz and make her all the more interesting to appear in upcoming campaigns.

it would b great and fun to see both dolce campaigns....

Chanel will only be solved when it hits newstands. I've lost interest, already. :p

Meisel has been working for US Vogue much too long... he's lost every inkling of creativity!

The S/S Dolce and Gabbana collection was (hideous, grotesque and) very vulgar... and the ads have to fit the collection...

Interesting. Am I to assume Mathias Lauridsen will continue to be Lacoste's golden boy?
