ASHTON'S NEW JEANS: Ashton Kutcher is going back to his roots — and replacing Sienna Miller along the way. After getting his start as a Calvin Klein model, Kutcher has now been tapped as the face of Madrid-based denim brand Pepe Jeans London through fall. The actor will make his debut for Pepe in the brand's spring campaign, which was shot by David Sims in New York, and styled by Joe McKenna. Kutcher replaces Miller as the face of the brand, and he will share the spring campaign with model Daria Werbowy, who is contracted to Pepe for one season only. And, while Kutcher may be better known for playing pranks on gullible celebrities in his TV series "Punk'd" than for his style credentials, he's always kept a toe in the fashion pool. In fall 2006, he played fashion reporter for Harper's Bazaar, accompanying his wife, Demi Moore, on the show circuit during New York Fashion Week. —

WWDSHION WEB: Miuccia Prada, who has put celebrities at the center of Miu Miu advertising, has made a casting coup for next spring's campaign: Kirsten Dunst. The actress finished the shoot over the past week in Los Angeles with photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, a Prada spokesman confirmed to WWD. Dunst's stardom in the United States should give the fast-growing brand a boost as it expands in America, opening boutiques on 57th Street in New York and Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles early next year
is certainly right...I have nothing against Dunst per se, but its a little disappointing. I can see how her quirky, youthful look would be an interesting juxtaposition to the subversive looks in the collection, but only if they're going back in time to steal 1999's Kirsten Dunst. Confirmation of Kirsten Dunst by M&M for Miu Miu!

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott recently shot A-list actress Kirsten Dunst for the spring/summer 2008 collection for Miu Miu. Dunst will be replacing French model/actress Laeticia Casta as the endorser for the fashion brand.
The "Spiderman" and "Marie Antoinette" star was not the one of the first celebrities to front the brand, Miuccia Prada has been known to promote her brand through the marketing power of female celebrities.
The team up with the young actress will hopefully boost the brand's growth in the U.S. especially with the upcoming opening of stores along 57th Street in New York and Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles by next year.
Victoria Beckham Confirmed, Shot for Marc Jacobs
Nov 28, 2007 @ 2:31am
WWD began the rumblings several months ago, and now we've heard from someone involved with the shoot that Victoria Beckham has indeed been styled, photographed, and paid (oh my, she was paid...) for the Spring '08 Marc Jacobs ads.![]()
Juergen Teller did the honors and shot Posh Spice just after Halloween.
The move ensures two things in the land of MJ:
1. Like Dakota Fanning and Meg White before her, now that VB has been chosen by Marc himself, she's officially and undeniably cool. This is fine with us, because she seems pretty funny and smart.
2. Marc's done with his Violet Incredible obsession and he's moved onto finding the complications in glossed and glassy women, not shaggy and sharded girls. As his own appearance morphs and changes, his clothes edge into more implicit ideas about sex and identity - and so do his heroines. Dita and Victoria are the new Golden Girls here, and we've got to get used to it.
At least, for this season we will.
PS: The photo we chose... well, we really wanted one of Posh smiling... but she still had to have her trademark short hair... and this is the only one we found!

Besides the SS08 collection was very "baby doll" like and who better to wear this but Kirsten?![]()
What's with celebs in campaigns? It's sooo boring, as if we don't see them everywhere as it is... And on top of it they choos the most boring celebs (I mean Kirsten, she just...bleh...)
True!'Lux Lisbon' for Miu Miu would be ok, but 'Mary Jane Parker' for Miu Miu might be rough...
