It seems that fashion’s Spring 2009 infatuation with celebrity campaign faces isn’t ending with Madonna for Louis Vuitton and Katie Holmes for Miu Miu. According to Style File’s sources, Scarlett Johansson has not only inked a deal to front a beauty campaign for Italian giants Dolce & Gabbana, she’s already been shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the gig. While the details are still under wraps— whether the campaign is for a new fragrance, or something else—one thing we can bet on is that it wasn’t a stretch for Scarlett to pour her curvy frame into the clothes. Not only has she worn the house’s wares on multiple occasions, she was also Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce’s date for this year’s Met ball. They say these things happen in threes. Perhaps the Madonna/ Katie/Scarlett celebrity fashion triumvirate is now complete. We can think of at least one group that hopes it’s so: models.

I saw that and didn't want to post it here in hopes that it was just a rumour . Esp. since Caroline T. was supposed to be one of the girls in it? Oh well.

Pam Anderson fits in Westwood's ad style. It completely fits in with the quirky absurd ads she usually. I mean one of them is a blatant, tacky sexual reference with her and a banana . It would be weirder if she got someone like Natalie Portman.

Scarlett Johansson for Dolce&Gabbana sounds like it could be potentially iconic. She's the embodiment of 'their woman'. And I'm glad that they choose to have a diverse range of women to represent their brand.

And personally, it makes more sense than Scarlett and Louis Vuitton (which I disliked).

Well, the article says beauty, so I guess it will be a new fragrance or there where some rumors that Stefano and Domenico will launch a make-up line, so maybe it's for that.

Narciso Rodriguez is headed back to the fragrance counter with a new women’s brand due this spring. Essence, the designer’s second fragrance franchise, will be launched in March in the U.S. and globally in April, in limited distribution.

“I wanted to create something that reflected the house, but something fresh and new,” Rodriguez said during a recent interview at the Gramercy Park Hotel here. Rodriguez’s first fragrance, an eau de toilette dubbed For Her, made its debut in fall 2003, and an eau de parfum version was launched in fall 2004. His sole men’s scent, For Him, was launched in 2007.

The Essence juice, concocted by Firmenich’s Alberto Morillas, is a floral, powdery musk with notes of iris powder, rose petals and benzoin balm built around a heart of modern musks. Musk is the designer’s signature note and has appeared in all of his scents in one form or another. “I love [musk] so much for its beautiful qualities, its rawness and its sensuality,” said Rodriguez.

The bottle, a rounded glass with a mirrored core, was created by Rodriguez and designer Ross Lovegrove.

Advertising, featuring Catherine McNeil and shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, will run primarily outside the U.S., although the visual is expected to be used in Saks Fifth Avenue promotional efforts.

Chanel plans to establish a new base for its beauty business in February with the launch of Lift Lumière, its newest foundation and concealer line.

National advertising, shot by Dominique Isserman and featuring Natalia Vodianova, will break in February fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazines.
