S/S 2009 Ad Campaigns (please read post #1 before posting)

I like about half of the Prada girls, and it'll be nice to finally see a proper multi-girl campaign again. It's very much like the attack of the clones, but I assume there's some kind of concept behind this, especially since they cast eight of them. I'm not fond of the idea, but it doesn't really bother me in a specific case like this. As a general casting trend, however, it's very offensive...

I didn't see any similarity between the Prada girls until I saw them as a group on the previous page but the only real similarity I saw between them was similar colouring (excluding Giedre and Sigrid) but each girl has completely different bone structure. I hope Sessilee and Liu Wen are included in more campaigns.

well that's the modeling biz for you! i don't know who casts these girls for these campaigns but they should be put away there are so many good girls that should be casted for better campaigns but its such a shame that they aren't. and as far as prada, i do think it will be a very beautiful campaign being that all the girls really do look all so similar. Maybe the objective of the campaign will be for all of them to blend in together..no? i would guess that this is the only reason they would book a number of girls with such looks. If they were to book someone like Georgina, Jourdan, Eniko etc. maybe that would defeat the purpose..can't be too sure until you see the campaign though. but i don't understand how seeing them all together and seeing how much they fit aesthetically can make make someone confident in how good the campaign will be...
I'm sure a lot of people were positive that the FW 08.09 campaign would be one of the best we've seen in a while when Evangelista was casted.

Someone said 4 or 5 girls in total for Pepe Jeans? I hope Meisel didn't give up on Agnete and Kamila.

Liu Wen is doing Benetton by David Sims according to someone who posts in her thread.

I guess we'll see either Jourdan, Sessilee or Chanel doing Benetton again....that's sort of a default campaign for black girls along with the Gap

I hated that Prada collection with passion, so if they present the clothes in some fantastic way in the actual ads, it would be interesting, i am willing to give them a chance.

that's true (about bennetton) but it's still such a shame being the Jourdan has such a great year, especially for a newcomer; she's had 2 vogue covers, one POP cover and an i-D cover, a considerable amount of eds in V, i-D, italian Vogue etc. , great show seasons (being the first black model to walk Prada in years), and received the best model award at the British fashion awards. it's really a shame that she can't get ONE big campaign under her belt, but i think it may come soon enough..and a solo VI or Numero cover

I think we can expect anything from Miuccia Prada. I don't like so much celebrities doing ad campaigns of great labels but Miu Miu has done it very well a lot of years ago. I believe it can be good.

Kinga, Diana, Hanne, Amanda and Anna J in one campaign is amazing! I am really excited to see how it will turn out.

I love all of these multi- girl campaigns! It will be really interesting to see how they incorporate the girls.
