Sacai F/W 2023.24 Paris

Oh wow. Admittedly, I haven't paid Sacai much attention over the years (despite hearing all of the praise on here, I can admit my shortcomings) but this collection is amazing. The music, cast, setting, and clothes (the pictures don't do them justice) all worked so well together. I haven't felt as excited watching a show in a while.

Wonderful collection. Full stop.
It is interesting that the same quirky detail appeared here and at Loewe, the shoulder bag-like strap attached to the dress hem (only here at a level of technical skills that JW can only reach in his wildest dreams).

She's on another level. That's very interesting to see women making stunning clothes for other women. The difference is quite spot on. It seems like there's a sense of comfort and luxury that others fail to achieve. Bravo!

Chitose has been on a roll and this one is no exception. Not as great as last season, but there are still so many great separate pieces! Sacai, along with LV, Loewe, Dries and Junya make PFW a clear winner for me. I just wish Olivier would have presented this season.

She's probably my fave in recent years to be frank. And not just because she's attached to my favourite stylist (but that does help!)

This doesn't top S/S 2023 for me but overall it's a lovely outing, with an unexpected restraint and simplicity. The opening looks and particularly Loli's final dress make quite the impression despite their starkness but I also enjoy the tweed looks towards the end as well.

There's a chicness to this that I appreciate, but I can't help but notice that this feels like a Ports collection. It's almost too pared back in parts when you compare to her other offerings. Restraint is great, and the make of these pieces are pretty fantastic, but it went a little too far to the point where I no longer see the "Sacai" in this.

Wait, I thought womens was shown as part of the mens collection a few weeks back.

Anyways, I love the opening coat, and the other pieces w/ the alternating fabrics on the left. There's nothing here that I don't like, matter of fact.

Minus a small handful of looks, cheers to her for making a collection that actually looks warm enough for the fall/winter months.

Now that Ann's retired, she's the Queen Of Cool in my eyes.

This is the most stripped-back I've ever seen from Sacai on the runway, love it. In motion the Sacai-ness of it really comes out, if this is Chitose's take on the working woman it's great.
