Sacai S/S 2025 Paris

that last look on Lulu is so lovely or maybe it is her making nearly everything she’s in look like that.. overall not the strongest Sacai collection I’ve seen, there’s an imbalance with seasonal needs and the elements she routinely relies on.. it’s just way way too heavy while kind of trying not to, so.. pick one!

I'm getting 2000s Ghesquire/Balenciaga. It's really quite a captivating collection. Love the way some of the fabrics sit on the models, almost like armor.

A bit of a disappointment for me. Most of the styles here don’t have the usual ease that the brand usually combines materials and ideas. Most of the white blouses fall limp because of the heavy trimming, the coat dresses with the sheer top look be stretching the lighter fabric. There are some fantastic styles in here - pinstripe cold shoulder dress, full fur-effect coats - but show should have been better edited and styled.

Burn the boots.

Deconstructed Balenciaga by Ghesquière + Bouchra Jarrar.

Very pretty . This is perhaps my favourite outing from Chitose since S/S 23, although I don't think it's quite at that level.

I especially like the opening three or so looks with the nautical meets schoolgirl theme. They feel like a throwback to the S/S 15 collection. I also like how the folds at the front don't continue in the back of a lot of the looks and even the very raffia like faux fur on the coats, skirts and shoes still look great to me.

it seems designers got together to boycott spring this season

regardless, this is still a strong showing for sacai. some nice moments in there despite the heaviness. what saves it is the relaxed nature and approach - there's ease, knowing, and a suave-ish grace here. this woman may be going through something but knows her herself and walks with her head high. it's confidence, no showboating or peacocking, just a woman showing up for herself and i respect that.

the more i look at it, the more i love the fur. relaxed armor.

I agree, this has been the most unimpressive season in a while.

Love almost everything here! It's hard for me to translate Sacai sometimes beyond the deconstructions, but this time they nailed it for me.
It's just not very spring and even less summer and the boots were very distracting

I said it last season, will say it again after watching the show video- I want Chitose Abe to take over at Chanel. I think it would be fresh, fun and feminine in a new and exciting way. I know there has been all the talk of Jacquemus there; but every time I see how beautiful she deconstructs, I would just adore to see that concept built into the house of Chanel. Always like what she does with Sacai, I can only dream of seeing it interlaced with Chanel somehow, that's my dream.

Chitose's sense of cut, proportion and how to push the envelope of innovation through pattern making is truly genius.
Just had to come back and say that as we continue to wait for a Chanel CD appointment.
