Sandra Bullock

Oh my God. The baby is so cute:wub: and that's such a beautiful picture^_^

So much for being private and dignified.

Honestly, she is a celebrity and this would have come out either way, so I applaud her for taking control of the situation as much as possible. Also, she is one of the few celebs who actually tries her hardest to stay out of the public eye, but with all of the scandal surrounding her life right now, I would imagine it is very difficult for her to just shun the attention the way she used to do. But, I happen to remember her once saying that, if she wasn't able to have children of her own, that there were plenty of children in this world that she would be honored to adopt (I'm hoping I haven't confused her with another celeb lol) and that always struck me as very touching. I think she'll be a great parent.

Whoa - not necessary.

I think she has been very dignified the last few weeks.

And I think it was necessary she came out and told her story now.

I mean come on, how many people would think she just adopted this baby now...right after this situation with her husband.
I am glad she told/informed us that it has been in the works for four years and she bought this baby home in January. Now that is private and she kept it private until she was ready to let people know.

Good post and says things that I agree with.

I totally agree with you! I just read this article at the nail salon and she is so articulate and kind. How I see it is everyone is speculating and chasing her down anyways so for the sake of her family and baby she just told the truth probably in hopes of everyone now knowing what is going on and leaving her alone a bit. I hope it works and she has time to bond with her new baby and be a great mama!^_^

I think the magazine piece was inevitable. The world had to find out about the adoption sooner or later.

In revealing the story to a publication, she is able to retain an element of control. It is presumably better than simply making a debut with little Louis on the street one day and having him exposed to a frenzied paparazzi?

The fact that we did not know about the adoption for almost five months says much about her desire for genuine privacy.

Re that People cover.

I think Life and Style (is that the name of the magazine?) found out about the adoption and was going with the story. So as soon as Sandra's team found out, they decided to break the story first to people. It was very last minute.

^ Hence why Julia Roberts got booted off the main story of the cover...

She's still hiding out... would love some new candids... especially if they're in wonderful New Orleans!

MOTHERLY INSTINCTS

Sandra Bullock spends a sunny Saturday afternoon in New Orleans's French Quarter, where she and son Louis (not pictured) visited a gallery. The city holds special meaning for the Oscar winner and her newly adopted 4-month-old, who was born in the Big Easy. people

Aw, Sandra... hello again! :0)

I adore the matching and prettily soft nude blush of her top and cardigan. She looks beautiful.
