In Scandinavia people have great style!! It is my dream to visit all capitals of Scandinavia !

Sorry, but no, it is not. Everyone dresses the same, the fashion scene is quite dead (if there ever was such thing) and half of the year people just dress to keep warm. It is not stylish, I can tell you as a Scandinavian.

^^ I agree with that in general. Do you mind if I ask whereabouts you live?
I am from stockholm and a lot of people here DO "dress the same", but there are plenty of stylish people as well. You just have to know where to look.

However, I have spent a lot of time in Finland as my mother is from there and I see a big difference in how they dress there from how they dress here.
I rarely see stylish people outside of Helsinki.. a lot of people in cities like, say, Lahti seem to be stuck in the bad part of the 90's.
In Sweden even the "smaller" cities are into shopping and following trends, that's something I haven't noticed in Finland.

In Stockholm I feel people at least TRY to make an effort to get on with the times, and even though that often results in people dressing the same I still think it's a lot better than not caring at all.

Just my two cents.

I'm from Finland, which is as you said. Though I don't see stylish people even in Helsinki.

Stockholm is much more stylish, but I think (though I think you, as a person living there, are a much better person to tell about it) that a lot of people there tend get stuck into this "cool" scene look. But if someone really wants to see Scandinavia for fashion, I'd say go to Stockholm.

Nope, but based on the Danish people I know and the opinions of people who have been there, it is "the only actual European city in Scandinavia". Gotta admit, I have no idea about the way Norwegians dress...the Norwegian people I know dress quite the same as the Swedish.

In Stockholm you quickly learn to set aside the pseudo-cool people from the "real" deal. It's easy to spot the people that really are into fashion - and there are many of them.

I've never been to Denmark or Norway, but from what I've heard Copenhagen is supposed to be a very stylish city, and some Stockholm people have a bit of a complex about it.

Scandinavian cities are, of course, not comparable to neither Tokyo nor New York..

However, there are a decent amount of persons with incredible individual style... in each of these Scandinavian capitals... which essentially is the criteria for a city to be classified as 'stylish'.

I am not saying that there aren't a lot of people who tend to 'dress the same'... In fact, I agree with you White... I've often wondered if H&M, Mango and Miss Sixty conspired in a cloning project...

But these amazingly dressed individuals are so conspicuous in the streets of these capitals.. that it is incredibly hard to deny them of their existence.
