Venla (23)
"I like bright colours and colourful, mixed combinations. I only buy second hand because I don't want to support the culture of consumption. However, I was recently amazed to realize how many kinds of trousers you can find at the stores! This blue dress is my favorite. I don't follow fashion."

I really like the first outfit !

from hel looks

..yeah give us some Denmark pictures ! I'd love to see them..

The top outfit in post 301 is all wrong for her bodily proportions. She already has very long legs and a fairly short bodice, which would be perfect in most clothing, but this outfit makes her look like a dwarf on stilts.

How ironic.... responsible consumption has turned into a fashion and its only purpose IS consumption...! if you don't want to support the culture of consumption, DON'T BUY...!

Sisko (21)
"I've got two styles: boyish and girlish. On a boyish day I might wear a dress shirt, tie and heelless shoes; on a girlish day lots of lace, bows and plastic jewellery. I think Iisa, singer in Regina, is stylish."
Sisko is wearing a second hand dress, Vero Moda jacket and wristbands made of old stockings.

Susu (27)
"I created this outfit for Club La Perse last Friday. It started with these Cheap Monday jeans. Then I found the Guns'n Roses t-shirt but I wanted to have something soft with it. That's how I discovered white underwear.
I like to mix old and new. I usually fall in love with old t-shirts. Hot thing at the moment: rediscovered innocence. Next I would like to experiment with sailor style."

Anders (38)
"I like all things authentic and real. For example this leather jacket is a true biker jacket. And I like these Evisu jeans because they are raw denim. I like vintage, Levi's Red and dream of Dsquared. I do follow trends but I do not necessarily meet them. My style idol is a synthesis of all rock stars!"

yeah i've seen them there so many times. god i have this love-hate relationship going on. every time i pass them in Helsinki, i can't help this stupid smile that rises to my face. it's like at the same time you roll your eyes and then smile and feel sorry for them :ninja:

but as baizilla said, it doen't work outside harajuku, it really doesn't

I could try and take some pics here in Stockholm when it gets warmer, right now it's a bit too cold to sit around taking pictures of passer-by's!

I agree with the smile-effect they have on us, but I'm also scared of them. There's like masses of them, all staring, making noise and looking hostile!I don't ever want to bump them in the night...

Stella Mare, that would be great! How cold is it still in Stockholm?Spring is usually earlier there. BTW, this has been asked a million times, but how do you get to take their picture? Do you just stop and ask them?

Being 'different' is really popular in helsinki at the moment. It's funny because all the 'individually' dressed people look exactly the same.
