I don’t like this, frankly. The stripes, the gold, the denim bedazzle, the colour abundance, this is circus in the worst way possible combined with a rather surreal style of the brand. Kitsch and not in a good way at all.

A little bit of everything in this collection, a bit of Gaultier with the conic bras and corsets and a bit of Moschino with the ironic take on the tweed jacket.

I remain totally indifferent to the excess this brand peddles, Lacroix was already the Schiaparelli of the late-20th century when the context allowed for a resurgence of such extravagance, nowadays it just comes off as tacky rather than fantastical.
