"...Burke disclosed that the Italian company is simply decamping across the street, to 677 Fifth Avenue between Cartier and Gucci. Slated to open in fall 2005, the unit boasts 50 feet of storefront, and will showcase Fendi’s product range over five floors and 10,000 square feet."

This doesn't shock me much, fith avenue is going down the drain anway, and 41st street isnt exactly a primo location, we are talking at least 15 blocks from where the real designers are. I heard a rumor from a friend who works in real estate that Fendi's flagship on fith is closing and is going to be replaced by, just wait.......

abercrombie and fitch. So lets be honest, Fith Avenue is basicaly done, and has been for a long time, so this newest news shouldnt exactly be a huge shocker.

You are absolutely right about that.

Puffy has no "artistic talent" -- not even in the music industry, he is just a exceptional con man, a hype man, a self-promoter, a showman, a organizer. He got talent people together for Bad Boy Entertainment and made a killing. He used trackmaster and other talented individuals to launch his record label. He slapped his name on the production and owned the masters (obviously) just like he slaps his name on the Sean John label, but I was told a few years ago he has no real decision making power at the label. He know how to form relationships and alliances with powerful people in the entertainment industry as a whole and he know how to serve those people in the way they want to be serve, if you know what I mean.

I'm all for him getting as much money as he can, because hell, if I was him I'd do it too.. but whose going to buy this stuff?

None of the kids in Harlem can afford an $895 faux fur throw (Okay.. like who is going to pay $895 for a faux fur throw anyways?). Everyone else on 5th Avenue is completely pissed off that some kid who use to be poor now owns a multi-million dollar company.

Don't not shop there just because it's by Diddy. Go and check it out, if the stuff is a waste, don't buy it. Let's all relax a bit.
