bias cutting is cutting along the diagonal of the fabrics natural grainline to make use of the natural stretch of the diagonal or bias of the fabric.

awesome skirt elegance! i really like that ^_^

Elegance and Pastry WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW:D :D :D :D :D .

I have tons of ideas but I don't know how to sew, any suggestions.

take a class at your local community college or ask around at local fabric stores if they do lessons or anything. there are a ton of books out there, but i think hands-on experience is better ;) best of luck!

I just got two huge reams of satin ... one powder blue and one midnight blue .. I had intended on using them for my prom dress but then I decied on a different colour. I really don't want to waste the material and my mom is a keen seamstress I thought I'd ask her to make some clothes for me.

ANY IDEAS????
