Shailene Woodley

Really digging the fringe J. Mendel gown. Her stylist is making some really cool decisions here. Gotta make the most of it before she inevitably gets picked up by a major fashion house.

I think make up artists haven't figured out how to deal with her features. I'm referring to the ELLE cover. To me, strong make up does not suit her face at all, and makes her look manly and rough. She looks better with minimal make up imo

Unfortunately, she never really looks comfortable dressed up and the clothes end up wearing her. Ilaria Urbinati is a good stylist, and some of the looks have been really cool (loved the RL in London), but Shailene just isn't pulling them off. Oh well, not every actress needs to be a style star.

Shailene is wearing a Ralph Lauren Collection dress and Stuart Weitzman pumps. She is wearing a Mary Katrantzou dress and Elie Saab shoes for the talk show.

The black Ralph Lauren really suits her. The Mary Katrantzou is a bit too busy for her.

The Elle cover didnt really impress me, :Pink:
on post 484 she reminds me of kristen stewart

Started the tour well in Europe, with the paisley fringe dress and the cheery yellow skirt, but now her style is all over the freaking place  And while I have no problem with her wearing that Ralph Lauren, it seems sort of inappropriate for the premiere of a kids movie. Just dress her like the hippie she is, it shouldn't be this hard.

Shailene Woodley bares her midriff on the cover of Nylon magazine’s April 2015 issue, out on newsstands on March 31!

Here’s what the 23-year-old actress had to share:

On her career path: “Two years ago it was very easy for me to understand and also emotionally tell the story of a 16-year-old, and now, I feel like I could not tell that story as truthfully because I just can’t empathize with it. I’m not there on an emotional level anymore.”

On her character Tris in the Divergent series: “When fear comes knocking on her door, she doesn’t run away—she stands up to it… And I thought that was a really beautiful message to be sending out to young women. Tris was not born a superhero, but what I love about her is that you can watch her progression into a strong young woman. Whenever I go back to playing Tris, I feel like, yes, I’m going back to Tris, but I am also going back to Shai and who Shai was in 2012, and who she was in 2014. If I hadn’t changed, it would be easier…but the last two years have been very powerful for me. I’m starting to empower myself.”

On feminism: “The reason why I don’t like to say that I am a feminist or I am not a feminist is because to me it’s still a label. I do not want to be defined by one thing. Why do we have to have that label to divide us? We should all be able to embrace one another regardless of our belief system and regardless of the labels that we have put upon ourselves.”

So those candids with the Saint Laurent looks ended up being for Nylon? Damn, what a let down. Hopefully she'll get a few more covers, and look better than she's done so far.
