I love the "new" metallics, they look so beautiful. Not at all garish or overpowering, just glamourous enough to make a statement. I especially love the pewter/gunmetal colors, they just look so cool and modern.

I've never really liked the gold and silver stuff, it's too gaudy for me. I'm more of a quiet person. Though an accessory like a belt in a shiny color can be nice, as long as it ain't entire outfits. There's one exception, this Lanvin dress, it's very neat and not over the top, still I'd never wear it

I agree, gold and silver clothing is much harder to pull off then copper, I think it's because copper or bronze are softer colors in general, more so then gold anyway.

I'm definitly wanting matte gold or pewter. Its been a problem lately because I've always, always worn silver and this change is odd, but definitly loving matte gold. People have said that its quite "hard" but with the matte it seems to soften. The next important question would be fabrics, drape is my need there.

^Those are great! I prefer gold because I like warm colors, but I don't like shiny gold. I think it can look garish, like others said earlier, so I prefer soft shimmering gold .

I’ve always loved silver, but at the moment I've a strong liking for bronze & pale gold tones...my favorite metallic item right now are my bronze ballet slippers- they go with absolutely everything, and I like them even more as they become more used & distressed with wear...

I am loving the idea of copper as shown in the pictures in this thread! Would be very nice with inky purple hues for fall
