Shoe Trends F-W '06

Here are what are shaping up to be the shoe trends of next fall.


style.com

*I am saddened by the lack of stilettos- as they are my favorite-
and I may be seen as unfashionable soon as I will continue to wear them
regardless of if they go out of style


*I kind of like the Ankle Strap pump style, not nescesarily the ones posted, but a version thereof


*and the Wedge/ pumps (Narciso Rodriguez) are interesting- and I don't mind with an open toe


*the cone heel shape is inevitable with the current Eighties revival- but is defenitely unnapealing to me.


*The combat boot/ lace up style was a minor trend last fall- but this upcoming fall seems to be very omnipresent and more prevelant

Who did platforms?

I only saw Tuleh & Marc by Marc w/ platforms- I only looked at style.com, and not anywhere else, but they didn't seem very prevelant

for s/s they were, but not for F/W ?

unless I'm missing designers not yet posted on style.com

Try Getty and some of the others - I think Donna Karan did some platforms (and boots, of course).

The combat/granny boots are a major turnoff for me. I don't like the style of the grannies, and I spent 3 years in real combat boots during the Korean War - quite enough, thank you!

Well- I'll post more images as they come to style- I'm sure there will be more trends yet- as we haven't seen the major/ influential Shows yet- Prada, Chloe, Gucci, Vuitton, Dolce, & Chanel

Marc has Been the most Major designer as of yet- and all his shoes have been Raggle-nasty IMO

he did the taupe, chunky heeled, combat boots
I don't think that those three things should ever be in the same scentance

I dislike this style too emery- It either comes across to me as sl*tty or mannish, or both simultaneously- which is BAd Bad Bad!

Well I agree with you- in my opinion (which is always right ) Ankleboots only look good with long pants or jeans covering them- not with a skirt

I love the cone heels, they remind me of the shoes Prada did for s/s 2001.

Chunky shapes/heels have definitly crossed over from the spring collections....I kind of like it.

And kind of an extension of the cone heel trend, I noticed some shoes with very interesting heel decorations.

Donna Karan with a diagonal metal plate running through the heel.

Im loving this season's shoes, very innovative.

As much as im a stiletto lover, I love that the sexy = stiletto affiliation is fading too, chunky heels are awesome.

Well I agree with you- in my opinion (which is always right ) Ankleboots only look good with long pants or jeans covering them- not with a skirt

Yeah, they look funny with skirts. The only reason they look okay with long pants/jeans is so you can't tell they're ankle length!

Love those donna karen ones. I never liked the dainty strappy stilletoes so I'm liking the chuckier shoes everyone seems to be doing now.

Hi there,

Would anyone know who does the wedge ankle strap pumps, in the middle of the last row of pictures? ("Wedge pumps", also, the end picture of the "ankle strap pumps" row)

They look ideal for running about in, as not too high! (and I love the ankle strap!)
