Shoes: yay or nay? #1

Guessgirl!!!!! I have preordered those Chloe ones...why do you have reservations? Also....how dark is the dark brown at the top? Is it dark chocolate or???

AND...how slim/not are the calves?Do you think I could get some uhm...muscular calves in there?? I have ordered a size and a half bigger.


And...if you like them and they suit you,YAY....if something bothers you....NAY.

I haven't gotten the boots yet, but I dont think the brown trim will be as light as in the runway pics. I'm pretty sure it's a darker brown. My biggest reservation about those was that they may me a little too slouchy and look 'bulky', especially becuase I'm short I may have to push them down more to keep them under my knee. But I dunno, we'll see when I get them


I kind of like them better, but I thought they may be too short to tuck jeans into, mine are mostly bootcut and some straight leg. I thought the jeans would slip out, or just bulk up above the boots, but I'm not sure since theres nowhere I can try them on before buying. What do you guys think, could I tuck jeans into those?

Thank you I'm feeling more confident about my purchase now and cant wait to get them. If my bank account allows it when they're avalible, I may get the other chloe's too and see which I like better. The Marni's I'm not so crazy about, but I remember they sold out in less than a day I think on NAP, I must be the only one

According to Jessica Style the boots shes wearing are chloe...

I hope mine dont look like Jessicas, and also hope theres more room at the top for jeans. in the runway pics there are but I'm not quite that thin

Guessgirl I went through the exact same boot-choosing process as you did .I actually have both the calf length black and the two tone black on pre-order,but I think tha tall(two tone) ones are more versatile and will have a longer lifespan.Plus,as Curious mentioned,the short ones just don't "hang together" as nicely when you walk.You can see it quite well on the catwalk pics at Style.com.


As for jeans in boots...I'm usually so grateful to get my calves in that jeans are secondary .This is why I don't think those tall boots are for me...they'll probably be very slouchy in some places and too tight at the top.Plus,I am also short and if you see how ruffled those boots are on the tall catwalk models...

Anyway I'm so excited to see what you think when you get them Guessgirl...I hope they are the boots of your dreams!!!!

I think I'm going to get them too,just for a look-see....they can always go back if they don't fit well.

The Gucci is my favorite of the four, but I hate how they brand everything I'd like it much better if the tabs were plain black

And the gucci is my fav too and I would probably wear it under pants anyway (so tabs: no probs)

The Gucci ones seem more "wearable" since they are black and plain. I think the Anna Sui ones might be too fashiony and you probably wouldn't get that much use out of them. If they had a real cowboy heel, I'd pick them, but they don't.
