You have to remember that Washington DC a very preppy "town"'s surburbs are not exatly into gladiator sandals until next year.
I was thinking they also come in black croc print with a conservative knee length sheath dress. Something straight except nipped in at the waist and princess seems over the bust. I think that is a sheath dress. But with these instead of plain old peep toe patent pumps in red or black will get some attention. Maybe silver toe nails or either red or black depending on the dress and shoes and an ankle bracelet to wear to a restaurant. That was it- a "proper" wife and then a bit of "what the h3ll". My wife is not too young but she still likes to get attention as in a shock. I tell her we need to start dressing her as about 25-30 instead of a teenager. Too many years in Catholic boarding school in France (from 13 - 22) wearing uniforms. She does have a 12 inch miniskirt and some tan gladiator sandals, but even though she is 5'8" and a size 6 I thisk she would lok great I do not think it would go to well most places where we live.
Usually, I've been a meanie at times in "Yay or Nay?" Will my kindness continue with the boots in Post #10,755? I'm... they do look pretty nice, but not enough for me to recommend them. So I'm going to (vey slightly) Nay! these. The cuffed detail on top is the killer for me. The rest of the shoe is somewhat manageable.
The heel is stacked and being about and not over 3.75" tall measured from the side. The full length platform is about/maybe not over 3/4" which raises the shoe height without having such a high heel. Stacked heels being basically striped the dark is tan that matches the leather and the light stripe matched the suede platform.
I loooove skinny heels - the higher the better but I don't like the shape of that heel I think about its top part - I can't see the whole heel clearly in that pic so maybe in real it doesn't look bad but still nay for them...
I'm going to Nay! the sandals in Post #10,772. However, not for the heel. The design of the shoe just has a bit too much going on for me to like them. The heel is fine... just that the rest of the shoe doesn't really please me. So these sandals are a fail, but not an outright fail.
^ NAY to the first. Absolute.
Slight NAY to the 2nd. I like the heel structure in general, that's not my issue; I just don't like it on this shoe.
I like the combo of the leather w/ the metallic.
The shoe would be better with a bit of a substantial, or chunkier, heel or as a wedge, IMO.
When I did my latest post, I forgot the sandals in Post #10,761. Allow me to... I'm actually going to Yay! these. If you're talking overall shape and silhpuette, then these are sweet. This is more like chic... with a tough side. So there's my input on those sandals.
