Shoes: yay or nay? #1

Time to do some more reviews, starting with the mid-calf boots in Post #9.917. I think those are some lovely boots. They are a Yay! for me. These are some nice boots that look like tights + some ankle wrap shoes. from: sophia, I'd get those right away. Of course, don't let my opinion be the one to trust most. Get them if you choose. I'd get them if I were you.

Sophia- Nay, unless they're in black. The leather and suede in that shoe isn't a very good combo.

Ok I was on the fence I think I am not going to get them I never wear red anyway if they were a dark green it would be a different story

I'm leaning towards the boots and the first pair of flats :flower:

Any opinions?

^the boots are okay but not my style.

i def don't like the flats. they look like slippers.

sophia- nay.

the boots - not my style so NAY

the flats hmm I don't wear flats at all but there are some types that I like , those look a little bit like baby shoes so also NAY

aquamarine, nay to everything. i'm sure you can find nicer ballet flats (that look like actual shoes) and boots out there.

Yay for the boots
Ballets flats look quite childish in my opinion. If it is for a child then maybe yay.

So you want a choice between boots and two ballet flats (Post #9,929)? Let me begin...

* If you just want a basic pair of boots, yay to those. But really, I'm going to Nay! these. A good pair of riding boots will serve you a bit better.

* I'm going to assume the ballet flats are the exact same shoes in different colors. Again, very basic shoes in design, but I'm going to say Yay! because of their simplistic beauty. I would have preferred the strap to be on the outside rather than the way it's designed. The white flats are basic, but cute. Same if they are available in black.

Finally, it's tough to choose between boots and flats. It's like choosing between sneakers and sandals. Just go with what you like better. I've known some who like wearing flip-flops as opposed to sneakers or other shoes. I've known some who prefer sneakers than sandals. It's your own preference. Would you go with boots or ballet flats? If you ask me, I'd go with the ballet flats because they are more versatile throughout the year than boots, which are normally worn in cold weather times. Another option would be to find some cute ankle booties that COULD be worn all-year including in warmer weather. But if I had to choose between those two, I'd take the ballet flats.

Aquamarine - Nay to all of them. The flats looks like a little girl's ballet slippers. Sorry

Steve Madden has really cute black leather ballet flats without the strap.. or you could always splurge on the Tory Burch Reva flats. They are incredibly comfortable and chic.

See, that's why I like coming here. You guys are honest and by now I think:

a) I don't need another pair of boots right now (I already have some wonderful ones of that height).
b) I think I will save my money for a bit more high-end flats if I really need some. I'm so NOT into wearing baby clothes

That's a good choice. I'd also save up some money and invest in a great pair of flats. I'm sure you would get a lot more wear out of those.

I don't think the red boots are that bad. Dark Green might be OK too though.

aquamarine: sorry, but i've got to say NAY to everything...

smart idea! splurge on better flats... i always think high end flats are worth the high price tag. some ppl say heels are worth more but for me flats can be worn more often ^_^

aqua, the boots are ok but I don't like the flats. Yay to boots and Nay too flats.
