It looks beautiful! I recently cut my hair almost the same way (great inspiration by the way, I like the film), from shoulderlenght too. Doesn't it feel liberating? And it definetily is a change.

I have a problem with my short hair. Whenever I take a nap or sleep through the night, I wake up with a mohawk. It doesn't matter whether I went to sleep with dry or wet hair, my hair stoods up. It is slightly irritating as I'd rather go for the classic look than punk look, but I can't get my hair to stay down. The thing that has helped is to wet it every morning and then blow-dry, but I am too lazy to do that every morning. Is there a hairproduct for this, a wax or something? And then they say short hair is easy!

Ha ha! I always have the morning mohawk too... the only time I don't is if I'm sleeping on a silk or satin pillowcase... and if I go to bed with realy clean, dry hair as well... there could be something to this or it could just be a fluke... maybe worth a try?

I have the same problem... except my hair just sticks out randomly in every direction possible. My roommate gets a laugh out of that :p
So I have to shower in the morning... then sprint to class with wet hair. Which I totally don't mind. Getting a satin pillowcase sounds like a good idea though. Does anyone have recommendations for a good, inexpensive pomade type thing?

Does anyone have, or know where I can find a picture of Gwyneths short style in Sliding doors? All the pictures I find of her are with long hair... :flower:

I cut my hair short last spring, about chin-lenght, after haivng long, mid back lenght hair for years. I've kept cutting it that short since then but because I'm lazy about going to the hairdressers it usually grows out to to a lenght that isn't really short but still hangs above my shoulders before I get it cut.

I'm now trying to decide if I should keep this up (and perhaps start cutting it more often) or let i grow out again.

PS Anyone who's cutting your hair, don't forget Locks of Love if you're cutting 8 inches of all healthy hair, or 10" with damaged ends ... If you haven't heard of them, they make free human-hair wigs for kids who need them. Your hairstylist has to first make a ponytail, chop it off, and then give you your new hairstyle. Processed hair is OK, all grey hair is not (partial is OK). They need hair of all ethnicities and colors.

ahhh i just did that. i had hair just past my boob and now it barely brushes the bottom of my neck (if that makes any sense, like the highest part of my shoulder?). i cant wait for it to grow back!

i asked my mom to trim my semi long hair yesterday...but she cut off a whole chunk instead. now i have this short hair that i hate...it looks ridiculous.
im usually not vert sentimental about chopping off my hair..but this looks horrible. what do you guys think? :(

blah...with the right make up..i look like one of those london scene kids. =T i look so tired in these pics.

I don't think it's that bad at all. I have no idea what your style is like, but you could play around with it, mess it up or flip the ends out for example.

But if you absolutely hate it go to a stylist and have them make something that you feel more comfortable with out of it. It's your hair after all and you have to wear it every day. :flower:

Edit: Oh, and make mom pay. ;)

haha XD my mom is not the type that "pays" people

errr...i dont want to go to a stylist because i know they are gonna chop it even more!
i guess i ll have to live with it for now. =T
it's not that that bad now that i have gotten use to it a little. but i still think it looks stupid on me. oh well

Horrible? Ridiculous? What are you talking about? You look super cute! I understand that you may be shocked if you're used to longer hair, but you look lovely! :flower:

thanks  maybe im just not use to it. i didnt except my mom to trim it so short

Hey, i have a very short pixie (by definition, duh:lol: )and I enjoy it right now but I know eventually I'm going to want longer hair so I'm thinking of starting to grow it out since I know it will take a long time of in-between phases. Does anyone have suggestions of what to aim for next? Should I just stay out of the salon for a year or keep getitng trims? If I do get trims should I let the top grow to reach the length of the bottom/back and only trim the bottom/back? Or should I just let it all grow at the same time? I started with long dirty blonde hair a little over a year ago and then went here:

then here:

and now I'm here:

I really like Cameron Russel's haircut. I'm thinking of gradually dyeing it a lighter and lighter brown until I get back to my natural dirty blonde. What do you think? Should I keep it dark or go back to where I started with long and dirty blonde? And does anyone have ideas of growing-out haircut styles?

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.:flower:

After looking through several threads of short-hair models, I'm thinking maybe Jacquetta Wheeler's style is a good in-between choice. Her features are sharper than mine though...

Everyone has such lovely hair !

Anyone have any bob inspiration they would care to share ?
