i'm sorry to mention the whole Sienna copies Kate argument, but surely no-one can deny this after seeing the picture of sienna wearing Vivienne Westwood pirate boots. Kate found these a few years back in a vintage shop (i think they date from the 80s maybe earlier), after wearing them she created a whole revival to the point that vivienne Westwood re-released the boots. This is un-deniable blatant act of copying by Sienna, she isnt stylish or a trend-setter she simply copies Kate and because she's the one whose always in the magazines (because of Jude) most people think she's the one who started the trend!!!

I beg to differ - speak to any UK high street buyer, any UK fashion p.r. company or any UK fashion trade press and they'll all tell you her style has been the most influential on the UK high street since Victoria Beckham. I work in that trade and I can tell you I've been in plenty of buying offices and seen pictures of Sienna clothes that were ready to send to factories. Her look sells clothes - the high street knows that. I design for one glitzy glam brand and our fashion p.r. was bemoaning the fact that the mags she wants to send our shoes to are only interested in the Sienna look at the moment. So what if she copies Kate sometimes - is it an arrestable offence?. I bet nearly all of us on here have copied Kate at some point (I for one have bought some leggings since seeing Kate wearing hers). I still think her style is different to Kates though - more hippy and girly.

I don;t get the whole "copying" thing. There are billions of people on this earth and just because TWO famous people are wearing "same" things at the same period of time....it doesn't have to mean that they copy each other or something. So if Kate Moss wears some cool shoes and Sienna buys similar ones....u call it copying? I think she has the right to wear what she wants. And if media talks about Sienna mainly...is not exactly her fault.
May be I don't knw that much...but it's quiet funny to me.

I don't think I agree with that. I think you going to have to want to be this 'trend setter' and I imagaine with a little thought its quite easy. Though I don't imagine Kate purposefully tries to look cool, that would defeat the object surely.
I think its great that Sienna appeals to the mass-market but I don't think you should be inspiring Oasis trends and on the cover of ID, especially when you've been around for such a short amount of time.

ok...as I said...I am not well informed about this copying thing between Sienna and Kate...but i heard that Kate was complaining about Sienna copying her. And as I look at the list of things Sienna got from kate....uhmmmm....its quiet a lot.
I am not on anyone's side...but I never really liked Sienna....I hated the fact that she got her popularity through Jude. I actually found out few weeks ago that she is an actress. Probably not that talented........................................but I don't wanna judge.

of corse they arent kate's exclusive purchases, but when kate's purchases are also seen of sienna on double digits of occasions it makes you wonder where she's getting her 'ideas' from

I wanted to gag when I saw the new pics of her rocking Kate's ankle boots. It's just sad that she (and her stylist) can't come up with her own style. IMO she only looks nice when she blatantly copies Kate. Otherwise she looks a hot mess.

i really didn't care that much about this whole sienna vs. kate thing, but now i'm really getting tired of it.
honestly, i think that nowadays sienna's & kate's styles ARE different. sienna is more girly, hippie and tries a lot more to be actually SEXY than kate does. she may be using a lot of kate's ideas (pirate boots!!) but there were some totally HER fashion moments.
i guess kate's style is more grownup, she pulls off a lot of outfits that sienna would never do (ex.vivienne westwood dress at v&a thing), kate reminds me more of designers like lang,westwood, balenciaga, mcqueen etc..(kind of an alternative to the mass makret) and sienna's all about williamson, chloe and missoni right now. that REALLY makes a difference.
although sienna at the beginning of her 'tabloid career' seemed to be very much 'inspired' by kate, but as time goes by it looks like she's also tired of the whole thing and tries to bring on her OWN look. hopefully she will.
