Sienna Miller

Sienna can look just So. Really well dressed but I remember reading this thing about an american journalist describing her as 'having a moustache problem and dressing like something out os Alice in wonderland.'

She's pretty hit or miss

Seeing those old 2004 pics makes me miss Sienna's hair that year!
Last year I wanted her hair cut so bad b/c it was TOO long and let it be frizzy. But in 2004 it was a good length and smoothe.....ahh the days.

I like her short hair for Edie (and for a change) but I hope it grows back quick.

she can look so lovely at times. that last picture with the strapless dress and the black dress along with the bueish gray gown....she looks absolutely gorgeous. but then when she is caught in public by the paps she seems slumped together and scattered. shes probably just trying to find herself and figure out waht she is comfortable in.

p.s. Has anyone else had trouble getting on S-O the last coupla days?

Katy says it's hosting problems, so it should be sorted in a few days hopefully.

yumm^^ i thought it was just me

hhmm i love those old sienna pics, the ones when she had brown hair and was a deep terrocotta colour and had a girly innocence to how she dressed......

Know what you mean but with Jay Leno last month she seemed very poised and together- full of life and with a wicked sense of humor...I think this has been a tough couple of innings for her...
Hang in there, babe, we all love you!!^_^

She got so much stick for her outfits around this time:

But i loved them. The summer/boho outfits were outfits which I would wear, and, of course, love, but these were things that I would love to be able to go out and wear, and be confident. Sienna carried them off so well, and, while this was the point when the magazines said she was falling from her 'style icon' status. For me, she was becoming a style icon.

Thank you for the pics...her legs are amazing

i think i agree, except i regarded her as a style icon before then :flower:

but its the way she would wear mismatched outfits that no one else would wear which made her respected, if you catch my drift. i see icon status as someone who has there own whole world of clothes and sets there own trends, like sienna or kate. nicole richie and others are iconised through theyre correctness and immaculte stylish way of dressing, which isnt so impressive.

true i dress abit mod at the moment myself, but i see these wacky pics and her boho pics as more appealing and more her, however much she tries to deny that style. hhhmmm i miss her, the tanned, toned, carefree private schoolgirl who defied the rules. lol. and as hard core as her new hair is, you have to miss the old hair!

While I'm not much of a Sienna fan, I do feel sorry for her regarding Factory Girl. She has apparently spent a lot of time learning about Edie and talking with the Factory gang, and now all these things about the movie are coming out.

Lou Reed is upset over the entire film (http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/5221683.html)

George Hickenlooper, the director, did not read the Edie book because he wants an "open mind" (http://community.livejournal.com/edie_sedgwick/96098.html)

And in that last link, the director of Ciao Manhattan is upset over Factory Girl, how it has nothing to do with the real Edie and how it's just there to make money. It's true, and Sienna thinks this will be her big break, something she's worked and studied hard for. But it's just a piece of crap.

I remember first seeing that picture in People mag and my first thought was, she's trying wayyyyy too hard. Jude's trying too hard too. Effortless chic is not her forte.

Yep... couldn't agree more. She doesn't seem to even have a unique style, and rather she imitates others and takes them way too far. People do evolve though... My style has completely changed since last year, but there are still elements I keep that I consider very 'me'... Sienna on the other hand can't quite seem to grasp that imo.

Thanks for those links poesy... I'm suddenly just as angry about the script:doh: The director wanted to "keep an open mind" by not doing his research? :judge:

In the American bio. book I remember on guy saying when Edie was intimate she had no problem exposing her lower half but liked to keep her shirt on and didn't love to show her breasts.
Maybe it has something to do with that. Her dad used to make fun of her small breasts but everyone thought her long legs were beautiful.

oh.. thanks. i didn't know it was something psychological, just thought she had some freespiritofthe60's detestation torwards pants.

eh.

holy mother of... Sienna you can’t be serious! Talk about overkill... halloween much? If Jude wasn't with her I'd think she was on set filming. She really hasn't got a whisper of a clue has she? Meanwhile, somewhere in LA Kate Moss and her cronies are having a good ol' laugh... or more accurately, a good ol' snigger. She's got loads of potential and gets it right occasionally (namely Matthew Williamson at the Oscars & that Ali MacGraw Love Story inspired pumpkin dress by Karen Walker) but she tries so hard 99% of the time it's a wonder she's got any energy left to even stand up. I'm bracing myself for the epidemic of unoriginals following suit. It's like the styleblind leading the blind.

p.s. Cosette I agree with every word you said.
