Sienna Miller

I'm not claiming to be the world's best-dressed person myself. I just find it strange how fans of a woman who is, allegedly, a "style icon", start slagging her off when she wears clothes that are actually fashionable and in season.

Maybe Sienna is as bored of the whole, long "unkempt" hair and hippyish look as I am and wanted to try something different. Surely that's what a style icon is supposed to do? Experiment?

this is one of my favourite sienna days..i loved everything about her that day

Certainly. Some people miss what she wore before and others love the style she is wearing now etc. I like everything...well not everything....lol she's had some hits and some misses. She does experiment and that's what I like about her. ^_^

Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Claire Danes, Charlie Cox and Sienna Miller have joined the cast of Stardust for director Matthew Vaughn.

Vaughn, who made his directorial debut on the acclaimed thriller "Layer Cake," will direct and produce the film, which will be co-produced and co-financed by Paramount, Vaughn's UK based MARV Films and Ingenious Film Partners. Paramount Pictures will handle worldwide distribution. Filming begins in the UK and Iceland this April.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura will produce the film through his company di Bonaventura Pictures which has a first-look deal at Paramount. Michael Dreyer and Gaiman are also attached as producers. Stephen Marks and Peter Morton as Executive Producers.

Stardust was written by Vaughn and his writing partner Jane Goldman and is adapted from the 1997 award-winning novel written by Neil Gaiman ("Princess Mononoke," "Beowulf").

"I am delighted to be able to work with such a stellar cast in bringing the magic of 'Stardust' to the screen. I look forward to once again shooting in the UK," said Vaughn.

Stardust is a fantasy, adventure love story. In the sleepy English village of Wall a young man named Tristian (Charlie Cox) goes on a quest to win the heart of his beloved, Vicotria (Sienna Miller). His journey in search of a falling star Yvaine (Clarie Danes) takes him into a magical world where he faces the witch, Lamia (Michelle Pfeiffer) and a pirate, Capitan Shakespeare (Robert De Niro).

MARV Films was founded by Matthew Vaughn in 2003. The company's first production was Vaughn's directorial debut, the successful "Layer Cake" which starred Daniel Craig and Michael Gambon. Previously Vaughn produced the smash hits, "Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels" (1998) and "Snatch" (2000).

Brad Weston, co-president of production for Paramount Pictures, will oversee the film for the studio along with SVP, production Dan Levine.

Directors blog:
eadline world is getting weirder, and I'm doing almost nothing but writing, eating, sleeping, and, when I remember, bathing, given that I'm flying to the UK on Friday (and bringing Miss Maddy along, as it's her spring break), and have to get several other things finished before I get out there and plunge myself into WOLVES (with, perhaps a smidge of Stardust on the side -- and incidentally, according to today's Variety

Paramount has set Robert De Niro , Michelle Pfeiffer Claire Danes, Charlie
Cox and Sienna Miller to star in "Stardust," an adaptation of the Neil Gaiman
novel to be directed by Matthew Vaughn. Pic begins shooting in the U.K.
and Iceland next month.)

I know you're..in a way...standing up for Sienna, so I don't wanna come off wrong. But just b/c someone grows their hair back out doesn't mean they wanna be hippy-ish. I for one loved it when Sienna first got her hair cut. She had let it grow way to long IMO and needed a change. And her first cut was fantastic. however, lately she hasn't been fixing it the best. It needs to be just a bit longer--or have a better cut. I love it when people want a change and they do something about it. (although she did it for a movie)
However, I understand what you mean--just b/c she got style fame for her boho doesn't mean she has to always stick to that.:flower:

I wear what I want to wear regardless if it's "in" or not. If I want to wear a floaty skirt with a gilet, that's my business, as long as I'm comfortable. I haven't had my hair cut in about a year and it still looks fabulous, call me a hippy whatever...I'm naturally artistic and creative...it's ME. :woot::flower:
  karma.

I'm still utterly shocked by this thread. You people really think this look/hairstyle:

Is superior to this:

? Still? Considering it's not 2003 anymore and Boho stopped being cool about 8 seasons ago? Do you actually FOLLOW fashion at all?

I'm genuinely interested. Ok rant over.

Not particularly those two pictures! Although she's kept the same length, her hair has morphed IMMENSELY. At glastonbury, she had the very noticable white-blonde extensions (synthetic, too I think), and in the first one, she was very young. I prefer her thick (extensions in her) hair.

A lot of us respect her style choices even if we don't personally like them, too! Atleast I'm that way. It's not like I'm going to decide what she wears.. What's in? Bleh, such a petty thing.. I'm not a slave to what designers TELL me is stylish. If there's something she wears that I don't like, who cares! The only style I can control is my own.

Here's the hair I loved best:

I know I'm about 5 hours too late to the RayBan convo but I have a pair of vintage ones that were my dads and to me, they're the best things comin or goin but. . . I'd check gas stations. Seriously. Granted, I go to school in West Virginia but they're everywhere up here. Also, eBay. I got a pair of mirored ones (like the Kors for men) for 7 bucks. You never know what you might find. Good luck :flower:

I like her subtle extensions! She looks very cute. Thank goodness the dress has a waistline :D

awww i love that shes trying to have longer hair but very subtly so its not like BAM long hair right away..what a cutie

It's kind of strange when people rave and rave about her old hair - and half of it is fake. I could have hair like that too if I had the cash!
I think she looks great in the above pics. I like her hair a bit longer there.

do you guys really think she has extensions in that photo??

Interesting..! Maybe she's ready to get back to long hair again?

I agree that Sienna has every right to change her style if she wants to. I don't think it indicates a lack of her own self-identity. I mean, we don't all wear the same stuff we were into 2 years ago, do we? So why must she? As for being influenced by others, so what? None of us live in a vaccuum. All of us are influenced by others to some degree.:flower:
