Simply Vera : Vera Wang for Kohl's

It's usually not what I go after, either, but I imagine it'd look nice with a cropped black coat and black tights - of course, the coat would hide the main feature of the dress, the 'jewels.'

^ i agree. the red looks very rich and i imagine the fabric is much like what came out this season. very reasonable. but this beweled everything trend has got to go away already!

I think all the jewels on the clothes looked a bit cheap and I imagine those on the dress do too.
Without the jewels I would wear that dress....
very cute for the holidays.

^ The ones on the blouse I got don't look cheap at all ... quite the contrary.

I wish their website offered customer reviews. :ninja: Not that this thread doesn't suffice, but...

^ I think this thread is much better anyway....
Whenever I read the customer reviews on Target's website I can't help but think some of them sound fake.

kohls.com

^ Which blouse is that?....

This one ...

I wish there was a kohl's centrally located on Manhattan.. as far as I can tell there isn't :ermm:

^ Don't think so....
I think Softgrey is in NYC and she says she has to go to Long Island to find a Kohl's.
It's more of a suburban thing.

This one ...

TY. The jewels look good but there are just a touch and I think that helps.
I think the dress has too much.
That blouse is such a pretty purple colour.

Reese Witherspoon recently wore a VW for Kohl's coat on the red carpet.
Didn't look so hot though.

i wish that kohls had reviews as well.

i think a lot of target shoppers tend to be quite effusive and enthusiastic about target's products. hence, the prositive reviews.

i am one of them:heart:

some of the jewels look cheap and some don't...it's true...
the bigger ones seem to look better for some reason...

* i live for those customer reviews...
i want them on every site thank you!...^_^
i totally read those things!

and yes- there is no kohl's in manhattan...

uhhhhh...hanne...?
are you coming to manhattan???....!!!...???...:buzz:

:bounce:...

^ What I noticed about the jewels was that on one top the weight wasn't properly supported, so that made the ornamentation look cheap (design flaw). The quality of the "jewels" themselves though is excellent, in the first collection anyway ... the holiday stuff I haven't seen in person.

there is one in jersey city. you can catch the PATH train at 33rd and 6th avenue and take the journal square train to the newport/pavonia stop. you get off and you make your way to the mall through the big glassy building and there you are! it's a nice store; very spacious and clean and not super-crowded at all, which it definitely would not be if it was in manhattan :p

i live up near columbia university and it seriously takes me less time to get to kohls than it does to certain parts of brooklyn!

i noticed this too. the beads themselves are really nice but i felt on some of the tops that they werent sewn on quite right, particularly on the knit tops. the ones made of that silky polyester seemed better, though.

I work at Kohl's.:ninja: I won't step foot into that store unless I'm being paid for it. The customers are the cheapest, most vile human beings to ever walk the planet. Most of the people that are buying the Vera Wang clothes are the rare birds that are clean, well groomed, and dressed nicely (not stylish, but you know there's no fat hanging out or any butt crack being shown). So I guess this line has brought in alot of new Kohl's customers that otherwise would never be seen there.

^^what part of the country are you in?...

^ Hey.... my granny shops at Kohl's!!!
J/K....:p
but they can't all be that bad...
If so, I would think it's more about where you live if every person that comes in is so bad.
( Softie- I think we are thinking alike)

I just heard Kohl's is having a big sale today through Tues.
I may stop by tonight for another look at the SV.

^ Either that or the lens through which the people are viewed ;)

To me, what's vile is cruelty, classism, racism, hatred ... "uncouth" or "aesthetically unappealing" is something else altogether :innocent:

The people I've seen at Kohl's were there either specifically to check out Simply Vera, or seemed to be very interested in saving money ... nothing wrong with either of those things ;)

But I agree that this line has gotten me into a store I never otherwise went to on my own, and I probably will look at other stuff in the future.

softgrey, wondering how the Estee Lauder line (American Beauty, Flirt) pricing compares to their department store lines?

I never really shopped at Kohl's until this line came out so it was a good move to get people in there who might not have thought of Kohl's.

I'm in Target every other day. I should own Target by now:)
