Hi everyone,

Most threads here are about how you take care of your skin and what you use daily, but I'm wondering if there's any products that really made a diffrence for you ?

In this jungle with Clinique, Estee Lauder and other brands, I'm very confused of what to buy ?

Do I buy a face wash,exfoliater and a daycream ? ( anything I left out ? )

( I've got normal type skin, nothing too dry or oily and neither is my skin hypersensitive )

Would be very thankful for any reply.

...The girl out on the quest for that perfect skin ^_^

things you need is a good face wash, moisturiser with SPF for day even a sunblock, facial scrubs, eye cream, a deep cleanse mask and a moisturising mask.
i have normal/ combo skin depending on the days of the month...and products that really made a difference for me are:
mario badescu enzyme cleansing gel and Alpha-Grapefruit cleasning lotion (which is a toner)
Darphin Desincrustant Lotion  which kills the pimples overnight!!
olay total effect with SPF 15
i'm still finding a perfect eyecream.....
i mean great products dont have to be expensive

Oh...wow

If you want the really basics, I would go for a good face wash, facial scrub, deep cleanse mask, toner and moisturiser. Although I don't use toner myself. :P

for myself, I use cleanser, toner, day serum, night serum, day moisturizer, night moisturizer, eye products (3 different ones), exfoliator, purifying mask, nourishing mask, hydrating mask :ninja:

but it depends on what you need.

things I really love are:
Cle de Peau Gentle Balancing Lotion (toner)
NeoStrata Total Radiance Vit C (treatment)
Estee Lauder Idealist Skin Refinisher (treatment)
Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream
Lancome Hydra Zen Cream
Decleor Essential Balm (night treatment/moisturizer)
The Body Shop Evening Primrose Firming Mask
Ingrid Millet Pure Clarifying Mask

I've had many many dermatologists lecture us, and they all say the same thing, if you need to spend the money, dont go for any expensive cleansers! Almost all cleansers do the same thing, just use one that is mild.
I love aveeno daily scrub.
Moisturizers are where you should spend big bucks on...
i started using creme de la mer ($110/1 ounce) 2 months ago and my chapped face (i was peeling like mad all over!) is now smoother than smooth.
I have tried every face moisturizer out there it seems, cheap, expensive...my fave is la mer for the winter and lancomes hydration creme for the summer.
Combine with a warm mist humidifier at night and your skin should look better and fresher in the winter.

I believe everyone's skin regimen should include:
-a facial cleanser
-a toner
-a moisturizer
-a mask every week
-exfoliation (scrub) every week, but not on the same day as the mask

I personally love Decleor and highly recommend it. Another good brand I like is Dermalogica.

im a guy, i have fairly nice skin at the moment, but ive noticed when i get out the shower? my face is like white and bright red in areas. and takes it like 5/6 hours for it to back to its natural tone of light brown. is there anything u could recommend. i even use fragranceless soap on my body now incase it was just something i was allergic too. feedback please.

you may have noticed im quite vain, but i believe looking my best gives me confidence in myself and what im doing. heh.

Hi Boink, you are not vain for wanting to look your best. I actually admire
you for making that effort, if there was more guys like you we would get
rid of so many " slobs " :P

i agree, that is my regiment. except for the mask. i should look into that, i'd like to see whats recommended in this thread.

for cleanser, my HG is shiseido the skincare gentle cleansing foam ~
i can never tolerate foaming cleansers becoz they dry up my skin
but this one is the only foaming cleanser that cleanse without drying up my skin~

my tried and tested products!... cheap but very effective!
pond's deep cleansing cream- to remove dirt/makeup
oatmeal mask-good for oily skin
lemon toner-anti-bacterial
pre-make up mask (got this from china. prevents pimples even if i sweat or get exposed to dust.)

i've tried using expensive products like SHU UEMURA, CLINIQUE, LANCOME, SHISEIDO but none worked that long...it was only good for 6 months or less!

For my skin I always use a cleanser, toner and moisturiser.

A mask and scrub everyweek - seems to work so I'm happy

As for brands? Everyone's skin is different - I'd say the best idea is to experiment and use their free testers that they give you and see what works best for your skin.

I used to get problems with my skin because I stressed too much when I went to university.

A lot of my problems were solver when I started using MD formulations.
I use facial lotion and facial cleanser from MD, and it really calms down my skin! I haven't had any blackheads since I started using the products! :flower:

I think the best product in the world for cleansing your skin, facial, body etc is; 'Dove Moisurising Sensitive Skin Bar'. It is natural, has no fragrances, dyes, preservatives, won't clog poores, it's also PH neutral (like water) and is not oil based like normal soap.

After trying so many products for my face, this one was like the miracle answer, it even stopped my skin from those odd break outs. And, it's only real cheap too! ($2.70)

Cetaphil facial cleanser
Lancome face toner
Neutrogena facial moisturizer
Loreal Ombrelle Sunscreen SPF30
Aveeno body lotion
Dove Body Wash for sensitive skin
Vaseline Hand and Nail hand cream

it really depends on the person their skin type/ day to day activity/ etc

for me I use

cetaphil cleanser
kiehls blue atringent toner (rotate with using whitch hazel as a toner)
and a body moiturizer on my face from my dermatoligist

I never use eye creams or masks or anything only when I get my facials (about once a month)
