Fingertips. It's so much easier for me to blend with my fingers than with a brush or sponge.

foundation brush (i use prescriptives)...

i just dab some foundation (liquid) on the brush tip and start "painting", when the brush starts to drag, add another dot and keep at it
sheer minimal coverage with this technique...then again i use traceless liquid so it might be different for other foundations.
