God... How can I unsee this?

Yeah, many of the pics are cheap looking I believe editor MJ Day has really screwed up this magazine for the worse. The standards of the models and the photography have dropped to a new low.

The shot of Barbara laying in water, the close up, is everthing.
I don't like seeing her in these types of shooting because she still looks so young it's uncomfortable but that shot is so beautiful.
I also like Lais's photos, I think hers are the best of the bunch.

Others I don't really care about.

I’ve said it before but I really wish they would get someone like Gilles Bensimon to do the photography. His Maxim stuff is absolutely stunning, and this all just looks so cheap. Which is a shame because the casting/variety of models is on point.

Agreed. He's the only reason I still bother to check that magazine out!

I thought this year was an overall improvement and I actually liked the photography, but no doubt Gilles Bensimon would be killer. Alternatively there is Christopher von Steinbach that really liked from Playboy. Robert Voltaire is another option.

What alternate universe are we living in that Playboy and Maxim have turned out to have better editorial content than Sports Illustrated?

I do agree that this year the photography was a tad bit better than the last few years.

Do we know who the photographers are? I've only heard of Laretta Houston for the Tyra Banks one, who turned out to be the first black photographer to ever shoot an SI cover.

Last time I read SI, cover model was Marrisa Miller(?)....lol anyway love Tyra no matter how horrible the ed is...
