Since Julie Campbell left as the editor, the SI Swimsuit issue has never been the same. Then when they veered away from using models, it became complete trash. They started using athletes b/c people complained that it is a sports magazine and using non-athletes made it just soft-core p*rn. But without actual models, the issue has become nothing if not more obscene. The poses, the facial expressions, the choice in bikinis, the art direction (if you can call it that) everything looks like it was done by sex maniacs, rather than people legitimately in fashion. It's not even Terry Richardson-level p*rn.

This can’t still be true, can it? Their cover choices in recent years seem to suggest they’ve moved on from that.
