I just called. At least Women's collection is on pre-sale. I'll go after work B)
let me know if you want me to check out anything for you Faust. :flower:

I went during lunch. Left empty-handed, but I am very very picky these days. It looked like the women's side had more going on. Good luck!

I went there...nothing interesting  either I'm too picky or the collection really :yuk:

I got the final cut mailer (says it offically starts the 13th).

The NY store may start its markdowns on Wednesday...hmm....I still get my some of my mail out in the burbs, LOL!

Was it 50% off the already reduced price from 2nd cut (likely a pipe dream) or 50% off the 1st cut price?

I didn't see much in the Mens area during 2nd cut, but I too, am picky unless its dirt cheap......

50% off after the 40% off. So basically you pay 30% of original price:smile:

Barneys may also be in pre-sale as their final markdowns are to occur on Wednesday. I passed by today but the area was a madhouse due to a building collapse nearby and I figured with 2 days left, I'll just skip presale.....

neimans is also in presale in stores...i just scanned the website and some items have been marked down further. probably a good idea to call for info. i would assume this is the Last Call sale (all the department stores time their sales almost down to the same day).

also, burberry is having a very nice sale. the store in chicago had some prorsum stuff on sale for like 75% off. there was this beautiful suede carryall that origianlly retaled for 1799 marked down to 549. i was tempted......this is in the mens section.....

Lacoste is wrapping up its semi-annual sale, 25-40% off. Ends Sunday, July 16th.

Are you talking about this bag? I saw this bag last month at Burberry Store in New York. I remember the price back then was probably above $700. The SA told me that would be their final markdown, so I bought a mens canvas/leather totebag marked down from $1570 to $599. MAN! I should have waited a bit longer! Maybe the bag I bought was even marked down to lower than $400 now! Burberry Prorsum's bags were so much ridiculously over-priced this SS06 season! I wonder what the price of those HUGE mens bags on their 06/07 FW runway show would be like. $2000 or even $3000?

are you talking about Co-op or designers? I called yesterday and the designers fl. told me that they didn't know when the next mark down will be

2nd cut was 30% off of already reduced prices (which were 30% off in general). The salesman told me this was it. Maybe he just wanted me to buy something :D

Strange, a Saks sales guy said that there will be no further markdowns on designer stuff. I wouldn't be surprised to think that he's not knowledgable enough. Will someone confirm please if this will indeed happen? Thanks in advance.

well i work for saks. the sticker sale price (first cut) which has been 30% off (2nd cut) is being reduced again from 30% off to 50% off sticker. and yeah, my guess is he just wanted you to buy then.

Yes. This was the bag for $549 at the Chicago store over July 4 weeekend. May be gone now. Its sooo nice, but I just think its a bit too extra/excessive for my taste.

I need to check out Burberry NYC.

Not sure, I plan on stopping in Barneys tomorrow and I will provide a report tomorrow.

Gotcha, thanks.

Theory, our paths may cross tomorrow (unless you are still in Chicago)! :D

Number (N)ine sale is lasting only for 3 more days - 40% off.
Jeffrey is at 50% off, but nothing to write home about, as usual.

back from Barneys empty-handed.
most of the "big name" designers are not going to be marked down further (60% off now), and some will be marked down to 75% off on Thursday.
This spring is not that exciting, and so I didn't buy anything from either Saks or Neiman's last call either...(will visit Boston tomorrow and let's see how things look).
Note: NM's last call this time is only 50-60% off for big designers' collections (normally they do 70% off), so I guess Bergdorf goodman does the same as they are essentially the same company. I don't understand why they do that though as the spring collection is not that good...hmm maybe just me.
