Not to be a b*tch, but Mr Recht is more responsible with where he gets his materials from than other fashion houses are. You're prone to make more damage getting a cotton t-shirt from H&M than you are buying a horse skin wallet from Recht. He develops and make all materials on Iceland in the local area, so no dirty factories or heavy chemical polution is under his responsibility.

..and, if you don't like his use of animal skins, you can always seek out the ring made out of his very own skin. Doesn't get anymore personal than that IMO

I only know his more recent menswear designs, that is why I lament the loss of the pictures in this thread!
But his latest work is incredible.. armour-like shells made of transparent leather; coats applied with wood to create ever-changing shapes; incredibly lightweight vests made of spider silk.. his unique designs and determination to be new is unsurpassed.
Plus everything he designs is draped and therefore unique, this includes shoes and accessories. And all of his boxes and packaging and swing tags are laser-cut.
