Thank god she's gone. She's insufferable and thinks she's all that. If they could only get rid of Elizabeth it'd be perfect but now they are done to 3 I think she'll be staying put for quite a while.

I loved watching Star lie her *** off on Larry King. no freebies for her wedding? please she so did. Y'know Barbra might be getting on in age but something tells me you do not want to piss her off at all, Star is digging herself a huge hole.

I felt she was really contrived on Larry King. I read something about her contract not being renewed because viewers were turned off by her after her weight loss and wedding hoopla. I really have to agree.

I watched Star on the Larry King Show and I happen to believe her side of the situation. If Star was supposedly such a nuisance around/during her wedding which occured in Nov. 2004 and throughout her weight loss than why would the powers that be decide to wait until Nov. of 2005 to decide that Star didn't fit with the show anymore? Why would they greenlight the special segments pertaining to her wedding if it turned off so many viewers? Why would ABC put Star's wedding on their Instyle Wedding Special? ​

*sniff* I smell b.s. As it pertains to Star's job if she no longer fitted in The View, they would have gotten rid of her asap because that is how important business decisions go down not a whole year later. 1+1 = Duh!​

Its a shame that Star was treated so badly by the people who she trusted and considered friends especially Barbara Walters. The audacity of Barbara to hire Rosie O'Donnell the same week that Rosie made disparaging remarks about Star and her family- and say wrap yourself around it? Seriously what in the heck?
I would have probably wrapped my hand around Baba Wawa's face (lol...kidding, kinda). ​

On another note, I have always been indifferent when it came to Star but last night I gained a newfound respect for her. She didn't bash Barbara nor ABC. She simply stated the truth and unfortunately many people cannot handle the truth- speaking of which I found it hilarious that Larry asked would his Barbara lie? When Barbara was willing to go along with a lie and make up a few of her own regarding Star's upcoming exemption from the show. ​

Lastly with Star being told that she could leave the show anyway she wanted to then why are they chastising her? Okay so she was supposed to make the announcement on Thursday as opposed to Tuesday yet she could have made the announcement 2 months ago if she wanted to. But she remained being a professional knowing that her days were numbered at the job she loved. She owed them nothing however they could have treated Star with a little bit of respect since she had been working there for 9 years rather than treating her worse than the way in what many perceive all interns are treated.​

Star probably thought about it all and said to herself, "Wait a minute...I'm fired. Why am I still sitting here with these phoney-acting broads?"

Star is extremely bright...she has a law degree. Wasn't she also a judge at one time? I'm sure she knew exactly what was going to happen if she decided to cut out a little early. She probably thought, "According to my contract, I'll still get paid. They'll just be pissed, but forget them...I've been a pretty good sport about all of this and now it's time for me to think about me. Obviously, they don't want me to be here anymore anyway."

What did she have to gain by sitting there respecting them after they used and disrespected her?

It's funny to me that people call Star a [email protected] don't think she's anywhere near the b@tch that Barbara Walters is. The only time I would actually watch The View is when I knew that Barbara would not be on.

And I'll say this: I don't care how Star lost the weight. If she didn't want to discuss the surgery, then that is her business. It's obvious to me that the weight loss was because of the surgery. I don't need it confirmed by Star. Just like I don't need all of the nose jobs, boob jobs and eating disorders confirmed to me by any of the other celebrities.

It's interesting that Rosie criticized Star for not admitting something....I distinctly remember when Rosie would not admit that she was a lesbian. But that's okay...When The View starts getting all of the hate mail regarding Rosie's lifestyle or when Barbara cringes after hearing her mention her relationship too much, Rosie will be able to relate to what Star is going through.

She may be off The View, but Star Jones Reynolds is still on the air: On Thursday (left) she makes her exit from CNN in Hollywood, where she told Larry King, "I will not denigrate Ms. Walters. I with team star too, I also think rosie's lifestyle might rub the viewers or, the cast themselves, the wrong way unless the producers tell her to hush up.

As far as I'm concerned, this show represents everything thats wrong with women of today's society in general. Smiles and laughs when we're around eachother and then gossiping behind eachothers backs or making bitchy comments towards eachother.

I do the samething too. I usually watch the show occasionally when school is out but it's like she's only on the show to promote some 20/20 special she's doing or when a huge star is on the show. She gets on my nerves.

i also agree with buttery and LibraSkye...i was pretty indifferent to the whole thing and even didn't care much for star for the whole wedding thing and just personality wise but after the Larry King interview i have to respect her strength to stand up to the powers that be at ABC, her honesty, and her dignity.

Kill your television, Star! I honestly have no idea who you are, except from a killer impersonation my co-worker Christine Donahue (not famous) did of you in 1999: "Now, I'm a laaaw-yur." Maybe Ms. Donahue should be on "The View," because if she could make me laugh doing an impersonation of somebody I never heard of...well, that's a marketable skill, isn't it?

I still haven't gone out and bought a television over this, but if you think for a teeny second, what would it take for Barbara Walters to talk to People magazine? Did not someone say the View was all about catty women? And who is the target audience? And how many millions are these women making? And who are their advertisers? And what dream are they selling you?
