Public figures divorce all of the time, but rarely are we moved to think: but why? They were so right for each other! But that was what we exclaimed this morning when reading about the difficult parting of ways between Stephanie Seymour and Peter Brant in "Page Six."
Not only were they a physical match, as you can see above, they were intellectually compatible. Brant, the billionaire CEO of his own newsprint corporation and the publisher of Interview and Art in America, is an avid art collector and polo player from Greenwich, Connecticut. Seymour is a former Victoria's Secret model from San Diego who is perhaps best known for kissing Axl Rose with visible tongue in the 1991 video for "November Rain."
Yet to the Post, these soul mates are breaking up, and the breakup is ugly. Brant has reportedly changed the locks on Seymour, who now finds herself bunking with the maid.

"It's OK. I'm sleeping in the maid's quarters," Seymour told a friend. "I'm doing the best I can to keep things amicable. I want to be the bigger person. But it's tough. He's playing very dirty with me."​

That's no way to treat an Angel. But still we don't understand what happened here. It couldn't be that they ran out of things to talk about. We guess it's true what Axl said: "Nothing lasts forever, even cold November rain."
The supermodel and her husband, Peter Brant, owner of Interview, are getting a divorce... and it sounds messy.
According to Page Six, they are still living under the same roof but Seymour is sleeping with the hired help!

Married for 16 years, Seymour filed for divorce two months ago. Billionaire Brant is said to be challenging her for custody of their three children Peter Jr., 15, Harry, 12, and Lilly, 4 by claiming Seymour is an unfit mother.

Stephanie Seymour: Gone But Not Forgotten
Peter Brant is in the middle of a messy divorce with his wife Stephanie Seymour. But that didn't keep him from the opening party for his new private museum this past weekend. A long list of art world A-listers headed over to his 53-acre estate in Greenwich on Saturday to have a look around The Brant Foundation Art Study Center. (And despite all the personal drama as of late, Brant looked "dashingly handsome," according to the Journal.) Seymour wasn't present, naturally. Not physically, at least. But guests walking around the space did get to see Maurizio Cattelan's sculpture of a naked Seymour clutching her breasts, which, as the WSJ's Jeffrey Podolsky observes, "pokes out like a pair of deer's antlers over the fireplace" in Brant's library. He's not kidding. The rather striking piece of art that Brant will always have to remember Seymour by is below.

Phew! I'm glad I'm not the only one that had one of those made. And I've never even met her.

I can think of one good news from this divorce. Now all the gals and guys here can dream of catching this one for their own trophy collection. Nice lookin piece of meat to mount.
