Stirrup pants were made for riding horses! Now, granted, jodhpurs are rumored to be making a comeback as well but I refuse to welcome stirrup pants into my closet.
i dont think i have worn stirrup pants since I was like 7! a mistake i will never make again - they were black crushed velvet! Also had a pillar red pair!
Now usually I love unusual trends, but this one I just don't think I'll be participating in. Unless... the tights are tight all around the leg because in the 80's/90's, women wore them tight around the thighs but loose in the knees (so unflattering). They also wore these things on their own! I would wear them underneath something like normal tights/leggings.
that would be funny
but you know, they are just like leggings/tights and those are in fashion now, so you never know
but i can't see any use for them other than as tights. if they are pants, they are hideous! i don't think a girl would want her hips to look so big
i wonder how it would be for a guy
I recently bought a pair of black stirrup leggings at Wet Seal for $3.00. I got them because they were cheap & thought they would work great UNDER boots in the fall winter. I have no intention of anyone seeing that Im actually wearing stirrup leggings lol.
Well technically, they're more flattering than leggings because they sort of extend your legs a bit and when worn with similar colour shoes, they're sort of like tights! I kind of like them..... but the American Apparel ones are way too sheer.....
I did wear them last night but not with a dress. With metallic bronze heels, a frayed denim mini and a black lacy cami. Just to go out to bars/etc. I was surprised but everyone embraced it and thought it was really hot so I guess they can't be that bad. I didn't buy new ones either. I wore my old black capezios from ballet. Complete with runs.
