Stretch Marks

one time i knew a girl who had big boobs (she was overwieght too) and she said she got stretch marks on her boobs cause they were so saggy and grew so fast.

i really suggest going to a dermatologist to see what your options are. Mine were a year old before my dermatologist recommended using retin a and vitamin e oil. I went because i got new ones as oppose to my old ones. I applied retin a at night and vitamin e oil in the morning. I must say, the stretch marks on the back of my knee did fade alot and is more shallow, but its still noticable.

anybody ever tried Crem de La Mer on them? Just wondering. I think most women get them at some point or another. I go to this gym that is full of rich young trophy wives. I get to see them naked and even girls with thinnest bodies have them on their breasts & ***.

  1. Use 'Bio Oil'. You can get it from pretty much most drugstores. This gets rid of stretch marks (our little friend) over a period of time if you use it long enough, helps combat uneven skin tone and moisturises. Its medically proven and I use it too, it works ^_^
  2. If 'Bio Oil' is abit pricey, try 'Palmer's cocoa body butter'.
  3. Moisturise regularly to keep the skins elasticity as this will help stop you getting further stretch marks.
  4. Excerise alone won't get rid of it.

^ Thanks!

My sister had bio-oil, but she never used it so I started to use it and it was very good. I even used it on my face. It wasn't greasy or anything. This was ages ago, I need to buy some for myself..

Your welcome Kushie :) If I had to recommend anything, it would be Bio Oil :flower:

Does anyone know where I can get Bio-oil in Canada? I've been looking everywhere and i cant find it. Even a website I can order online would be of great help.

That's true; as women we will all grow hips and boobs so most of us are going to get stretchmarks no matter how slim we are. And if you don't get stretchmarks, you'll probably get cellulite because of how fat collects on women's bodies. If you have neither you are the luckiest woman in the world!

My mum had neither.

Unfortunately, she died relatively young, though, so there are far worse things to worry about.

In these days of sex changes, I wonder whether stretch marks and especially cullulite, could start to be viewed as a good thing? As cellulite proves one was born female?

Oh wait, i just read all the posts.. so you mean if they've already turned white, there's really nothing you can do about them? =o i'm dead.

^ don't worry, you can actually reduce their apperance a little, make them a little less noticable by really committing to a certain treatment or regimen. :flower:

I have them on my thighs, hips, underarms, calves, and knees. I am half covered in them from puberty growth and weight loss... I want to try shea butter or cocoa butter, but which brand??

I was using 8 different creams against stretch marks - lierac, galenic, methode jeanne piaubert, thalgo, guam, clarnis and dont remember what

effect is ZERO.

I dont even know what to do now.

If any of you are on Makeupalley.com, you can have an entire field day looking up on what contributes to stretchmarks (genetics mainly), and how to get rid of them (mostly agreed you cannot remove most) and what products did/didnt work.

I tried cocoa butter on my marks for....over a month now. They're not gone by any means, but the smaller ones on my breasts have definitely become less noticeable. The ones on my hips are bigger, whiter and are 'deeper' or more 'indented'. They haven't gone but have become 'shallower' if that makes any sense. I don't believe that anything will make them go away except for lasers or a medical rx for some as yet of undiscovered chemical. I don't really have an issue with them. They're on my breasts and hips but...I don't really care. Its like having a scar on your knee, or some chicken pox marks. Not a big deal just a part of my body. By the way I tried Queen Helene 100% cocoa butter and Palmers 100% cocoa butter. Both .99 cents at the drugstore. I thought the QH 'sunk in' better and was oilier.

Um just a thought, Strivectin seems to be helpful with new, red stretchmarks for some.

Retins are rx drugs, please don't take my word as gospel, but I believe they are synthesized vitamin A? Or act like vitamin A? Retinol, retinaldehyde are all forms of retins commonly found in skincare/cosmetics. They are proven scientifically to lessen wrinkles, spots, smooth skin and as retin-a prescribed by doctors. I have not heard of them being used in treating stretch marks. Again, there is a huge amount of info on MUA on this, some people's own experience, etc, I would check there.

But most of all, please ladies and (gents ?) I don't see the enormous fuss for most people with a few stretchmarks. Don't worry, I really think people are too concerned with things like this and body hair etc.

Hope this helps!

No.. it's prescription. U have to go see ur doctor or dermatologist to get it prescribed to u. It has this ingredient.. tritenoid.. I can't spell..and im not even sure if thats it.. but i researched it awhile back..and apparently thats the only ingredient thats suppose to work on stretch marks.

Retin A can also be used for acne..I was on that for acne too.. cleared my face!!
