What are people's opinions on red hair (very red hair, not just auburn) on pale skin?

I it. It just looks right, as natural redheads tend to be very pale themselves.

I want to grow my hair out about 2 or 3 inches longer. What do you guys think? Do you think short hair would look better on me?

+/- 6 inches below the shoulders is quite long. I think it would be really pretty, unless you are quite short or have a notably short torso. That's the only real problem with long hair. It flatters just about everyone, but depending on your body, it can throw off your overall proportions.

A huge forehead would dominate your face, and that's not the case with you. I see your face shape as very well-proportioned and refined, the area near your ears especially has such a graceful 'swoop'. The hairstyles you posted involve a lot of pushed-forward layers that would cover your face shape, and imo you ought to play it up! It may sound counter-intuitive, but bangs would look nice, and even enhance your f-s but apart from that, I wouldn't get a haircut that obscures the outline of your face.

Well, I'm about 5'3" and I think I have a pretty average-sized torso. I really just want long hair because my hair is really thick and I don't like how it looks short.

What should I do with my hair? It's been like this forever.. It's straight and maybe a little thin. (I don't want it shorter BTW) Any tips?

Worst collage ever, but I spend like 3 minutes of my life making it so..

What sort of hairstyles are you drawn to? There are so many to choose from that would suit you. Though I must say, your hair is beautiful as it is, you must get a lot of compliments on it. But it's also normal to want a change after keeping it the same for a long time.

If your hair is thin, more layers will make it look straggly, unless you're willing to put in the effort to blow-dry carefully everytime you wash it. And less layers seem to be the more modern approach to long hair. I also wouldn't recommend a drastic color change on long hair, it will lose its shine and vitality.

So...a fringe of some sort would be the easiest ticket for a change without going shorter. Your hair already swings prettily to the side, so a side-swept fringe would work. Or a shock of bright color behind your ear or near the nape of your neck, that only peeks out when you push your hair back or pull it up. That looks so good on straight, dark hair, and you've obviously got the youth for it.

Yeah, I know, I don't want it to look thinner, but It's so hard to style and it gets pretty heavy sometimes.

I am thinking about getting a fringe, but since the summer is around the corner, it may be very stressful and hard to keep good looking. But maybe when the fall arrives ! So maybe I'll just let it be like it is for now. Thank you

I dont know whether there will be a rely in time but basically, i have an appointment with the hairdresser tomorrow. I am wanting a darker colour, anything between what it is now (which is gross) and brown. I wont dye it black. Been there, done that, hated it! lol
I need a cut that will look nice too.
I dont mind about chopping and layering and funky stuff.
I dont like the cut right now, its gotten really overgrown and looks ever so discusting!
Do you guys have any pictures i could take with me that you think would look nice.

i just got my hair cut in a bob, but i feel king of boring in it... i want to let it grow to soulder lenght, but right now i want to make it darker, the problem is whenever i go darker, i feel soooo pale! even with mu. i need an honest opinion... i like the contrast hair/skin/eyes of model mini anden, we seem to have the same coloring... opinions please!

I like your bob, the asymmetry is very striking without being too trendy-trendy. I don't think your coloring is that similar to Mini Anden's; she has more of a 'clear' coloring, translucent eyes, pale with freckles, dark eyebrows, so she can take a lot more contrast in her choice of haircolor.

Your coloring is softer than hers, but I may be wrong, and it might just be the picture you selected. Do you look better in muted colors and prints in similar graduations of tone, or do you suit saturated colors and bold prints? If it's the former, it's best not to get a very high-contrast hair color, both very dark or light. A slightly deeper tone than your current haircolor would bring out your blue eyes, but anything darker might be too harsh on you.

Does anyone have any suggestions for hair colors that would suit me? I don't have much experience with dyeing my hair, I've only dyed it once before. I went darker, but I don't really like it darker so I think I would like to go lighter or maybe just a different shade. Also, any hair style suggestions? My hair is very thin and I would like it to look fuller.

does your hair already have layers? i like the cut already, but if you want something different just add a few layers to make it fuller. as for the colour, maybe go to the hair dressers and get a few high lights and low lights. in a light chocolate colour

lemonadensnickrs: I think a cool ash brown would look really good, and then tiny tiny highlights with a honey brown to pump up the volume. Ask your hairdresser to put a little more of the highlights round your face to frame your face and play up your eyes and cheekbones!!
